Setoda Tarumi Onsen(10/2,10/3)

A comfortable halfway point in the Shimanami Kaido.

The stay was pleasant and very affordable. For one night and two full meals, it costs no more than ¥6000 (don't remember the exact amount).

The onsen was very small, but it has a lovely view of the sunset and the beaches. The staff (likely all one family) had the standard Japanese courtesy and treated me well.

My only complaint is that the room was too cold, but that was remedied by stacking another blanket.

We had a terrific stay. We arrived at the Shimanami Kaidou very unorganised and without accommodation but the information centre at Onomichi arranged this place for us for the night via telephone booking the morning of are arrival. It was very well priced compared to other accomodation in the area and included two fabulous Japanese Style meals.

The location is really good halfway along the cycle trail and on sunset beach which true to its word has a beautiful sunset which you can even see from the amazing onsen (private use as a couple or family can be arranged on request).

The beds were very comfortable and the heating was very good. The staff didn't seem to speak much English but that too adds to the authenticity of the experience. I would definitely stay there again 😊

We stayed here for a night during our trip on the Shimanami Kaido. The room was a basic, tatami room with a closet. Since the beach was right outside, we were mostly out taking walks. The bath is amazing overlooking the sea and I was lucky to have it all to myself. The dinner was typical Japanese set meal with a grilled fish, some sashimi, rice, pickles & miso soup. Quite reasonable, nothing fancy but then again we were cycling and couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the night.

Peaceful location. Onsen was good. Has a great sunset view with beach nearby.

Really cool hostel with it's own onsen. The owners are friendly and helpful, the food delicious. I would definitely stay again and recommend it.

One of the best places we stayed in shimanami kaido. Cheap, simple, delicious and a unique private onsen. Highly recommended.

Love this old style place great stop over for you mid point cycling trip

9月末に折りたたみミニベロしまなみ海道挑戦(今治から北上)の中継地として利用しました。
観光シーズンも終わり利用客は自分だけでしたがミニベロを玄関に入れてもらえました。

部屋はひとりでしたが、3つのベッドがある部屋。海辺すぐの部屋で窓からの日が沈む景色は最高でした。
チェクインは１８時前で食事は18:30から朝食は7:30だったのですぐにオーナーお手製の岩風呂(こちらも海辺が見えて最高のロケーション)浸かって食事部屋に行きました。
食事も美味しく魚は流石に美味しかったのでおひつのご飯全部食べてしまいました。

テレビはアンテナが悪いのかところどころ画面が乱れました。

海辺がすぐの部屋なので波の音を子守唄かわりに爆睡。

朝食も美味しくておひつのご飯全部食べました。
チェックアウトは9:00。
広い弓道場があって学生の合宿所にも使われているようです。

帰りのお迎えは畑に出てるのかおばあさんだけ挨拶して宿を後にしました。

田舎に帰ってきたような感じでずっといてられる。
今治から、尾道方向からもちょうど良い中継地なのでサイクリングの宿としては絶好の場所だと思います。

瀬戸田サンセットビーチもすぐなので海水浴にも。

今年の夏に弓道の合宿で利用させてもらいました。
非常に立地がよく道場から見える砂浜や海の景色がとても良かったです。
食事も朝昼晩お世話になりました。特に晩にでる刺身やボリュームのあるご飯が良かったです。

旧瀬戸田ユースホステルの頃。瀬戸内の風景、空気を満喫できました。

しまなみ海道をサイクリングするときの定宿。愛猫のくろちゃんがかわいくて、よく撫でていました。また、クラブで泊まらせていただいたときにも部屋割りをしやすいように配慮してくれ、助かりました。ご主人お手製の温泉浴槽は気持ちいいです。

尾道から約35km、JR今治駅まで40kmの所で、1泊しました。温泉があるので選びましたが、また泊まりたい宿です。

昭和の国民宿舎を思わせるような宿でしたが、値段を考えれば妥当だし、子供達が気に入っていたので良しとします。

石風呂の温泉が最高に良いのですよ
