Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station

Very clean and quiet but there is not a lot to do here, there is only one store that offers sake tasking and sells cheese. There are no food stores or lunch boxes.

Very quiet and small station. If you are going to sapporo from Tokyo then you have to change train here.

If you’re coming from Tokyo, this is the station where you change for Sapporo. I arrived and had 20 minutes to move to platform 3. From there I took the Hokuto train to Sapporo. It’s easy.

What an amazing place this train station is. Like many others it's spotless and really comfortable. We arrived late so the only things you could get are the ones from the vending machines. Everything is really tidy and smells nice. Really if I have to sleep somewhere outside of home or get operated it's going to be in of those sterile clean Japanese train stations. Forgot to mention how easy it's to travel when you have the Japan rail pass and think a bit in advance. Fantastic country and moral.

End stop for shinkansen on the route to Sapporo. Here you have to switch to local rapid train.

Beautiful train station, having one small food store where you could buy coffee, water, few snacks, Must buy Marusei Butter Sandwich Biscuits and say Thanks to me, No big outlets here. You can go down and catch a local train for Hokuto. Go up and transfer to Shinkansen trains for Tokyo.

The station is very clean and directions are also very clear. So, don't be afraid to get lost.

I came to this train station from a shinkansen and Boyyyy would I tell you the train station WAS INSANE So clean and everything very crazy no cap. I honestly would of thought it was less clean but it was super nice.

Very straightforward and clean train station and is the last stop on the island of Hokkaido. Places to eat, shop, and sleep close by.

The station is new, clean and very well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. The place is efficiently operated and runs like a clock.

No restaurants on site but plenty of snacks options. Temperature control was excellent in August. The bullet trains travel between this station and Tokyo almost every hour.

Obento shop upstairs have got variety of obento (lunch box). Especially the one Migaki bento with herring in the middle always runs out. I was lucky to have one.

An amazing experience during winter

Besides not so huge ekimai like found around Japan, this ekimai purposes is the hub station to Hakodate city and Sapporo as well.

Best transfer ever. Totally recommended.
