the realistic humanlike mannequins brought a relatability to learning the history of the place and how it came to be. I have pictures of all the amazing exhibitions I saw inside but I'm not sure if I should share them here. what with the IP that comes from it being a museum of sorts. but just know it was very informative and would recommend it.

I am interested in yamagata rice. 1 For bento 2 For sushi 3 For normal meal Bf & Dn, some no need to wash before cook :) Souvenir shop with cute package.

Beautiful place to visit in Sakata, Japan

A cluster of storehouse where you can spend hours there just looking at the traditional architecture and enjoying the atmosphere. Just 20 mins walk from the station and you can visit other spots along as well. Worth a visit.

Serene place to stop by and take nice photo. Other than that here also serve souvenir and of course good japanese rice.

A small rice museum. There is a restaurant and cafe. There is a market too.

If you want to get local souvenirs made by local people, this is the place to do it! The warehouses themselves are beautiful too and are especially stunning in the fall!

This would have been a great museum if I could read Japanese - the museum had a lot of information given its size and had nice displays. If you can't read Japanese might be better to just walk round the buildings instead

今から120年前、明治時代に出来たお米の備蓄倉庫です。
最上川の水運を利用し県内で生産のされた大量のお米を貯蔵する大きな蔵が9棟整然と立ち並んださまは風情がありますが見ていて迫力すら感じます。
横浜や函館の赤煉瓦倉庫とは違った趣きがあります。
ここが2年前までは使用されていたと聞きさらに驚きました。
蔵の西側の壁は旧庄内藩酒井家お抱えの職人が手掛けた松の炭と柿渋を混ぜて塗った真っ黒な木壁とケヤキ並木と石畳が四季折々、何とも言えない佇まいを見せてくれます。
ボランティアのガイドさんによると黒壁は蔵の腐食防止とケヤキ並木を作ることで西日を抑える役目を果たしているそうです。
今年中にケヤキ並木の根の保護のため石畳は撤去するそうです。今は手前の倉庫がお土産屋と展示スペースになっていますが、倉庫の内部構造を垣間見ることが出来ます。

1893年に建てられた米保管倉庫。「おしん」の撮影地になったことでも有名です。
タイムスリップした雰囲気、趣きがあっていいですね。
館内にはお土産も充実してます！

很美的地方，如果碰到下雪就更完美了~旁邊有兩家商店，一家似乎是當地農會，可買水果，另外一家伴手禮較多，也有自家烘焙的咖啡。

以前から来たかったのでやっと来れました!朝早い時間に来たので混んでなくゆっくり見れました。資料館のほうは見なかったのですがお土産屋さんやおしんの展示コーナー等を見れ良かったですねぇ～😀
