The Ministry of Tourism helped me in a big way. I’m very grateful. They took immediate action and saved me from a real problem.

I had a pleasant visit to the Jamaica Tourist Votaf today and though I didn't do much other than wait to meet my contact, the environment was very inviting and vibrant. The receptionists were polite and courteous and very smooth in delivery. I was comfortable while I waited and was very taken with the pamphlets and art being displayed. I didn't get to take much pics. This review only lost a star because the building doesn't provide customer parking. I had to source paid parking nearby and walk back. Otherwise very lovely first impression.

Very good experience made an afternoon visit to learn about the projects future projects for the enhancement of Jamaica’s tourism product. Very clean and quiet office environment. Very good visuals and very helpful, courteous employees. They are open to share. Very good environment to lean about Jamaica’s heritage sites.

The people in Montego Bay were nice. Even though Jamaica is a beautiful place, I will never again go there, nor subject my family to visit this because of the hassle caused by the airport.

Jamaica tourist board as an establishment of the government it is your responsibility to get on tv or radio and talk to the Jamaican public about their severe lack of customer service. I'm Jamaican born but have lived abroad for many year's. what appears to me is that Jamaica has got large small and individuals trying to make their money. I respect that and will custom individuals and not just big business. however it does not not matter which I go to, customer service in Jamaica is poor. I've seen it in off, tastes patties, turtle beach, mega mart while buying groceries @_@ staff look at you and treat you as if you are bothering them to do their jobs when so many people don't have jobs. they don't communicate but look at you like you can read minds, overcharge, heck I had one shop sell my mother phone credit vouchers they already scratched off and used 4 of them so it was no mistake. these people make me not go back. these people slap the food out of others mouths. when people abroad visit and have either good or bad experiences we review it and it's not like Jamaica where people brush it off and say that's Jamaica foreigners by the thousands read them and avoid places. Tourism is a big part of Jamaica economy. Returning residents is also a big part. if those are our experiences what incentive do we have to patron places or return to the island to spend our money. my mother is thinking of returning but she has been a bit doubtful now due to the experiences. Maybe if it's white tourist they try harder to impress but as foreigners we are not impressed by race and all of us are concerned with customer service, yet I note the worst experiences are from other black visitors or returning residents. it needs serious consideration and staff need to be trained. if I look in the face of another cashier looking through me like I disrespected her for asking her to do her work ..... so bizarre.
