I bought 2 trees and got an apple tree free. The staff was courteous and helpful and there's sufficient parking. Will definitely be returning soon

They are a hard working bunch with limited resources... The building desperately needs an upgrade

The stars given is for Madeka who was the only person willing to listen to me last December after being misled by the person in charge of selling the Christmas trees. This review is being given because the hassle I endured December 2022 was the 2nd year of going through that while trying to purchase a Christmas tree from them. Note the operative word in my sentence just now is PURCHASE, not beg, borrow or trying to get something for free, so the hassle and passing of place that went on with the person in charge of selling the trees, her assistant and one of the tree cutters was just way out of line & unnecessary. In 2021 they completely wasted my time & petrol going there to be told the tree meant for me was sold to someone else, even so I didn't fuss I just went to the plaza & got a tree from the guys there. In 2022 the woman in charge sent a young woman who, with directive from the woman in charge on the phone tried to force me to take a messed up tree, despite the woman in charge telling me days earlier to come to their location on that day and time to select a tree right from the truck when it arrived. The young woman had no qualms about giving us the ultimatum that we had to take the ill-shaped, patchy, too high & starting to dry brown tree or else we would get no tree at all. I almost laughed when I heard the condescension in her voice and saw it in her body language, because it was laugh or lose my cool. I didn't have to do either because Madeka stepped in. Even after getting Madeka's help I overheard the woman in charge & one of the cutters talking about the situation as if they were doing me a favour that they didn't want to do, as if it's not a product they are selling to the public to benefit their organisation. I guess the woman was upset that someone displayed some semblance of actual customer service in helping a customer. The funny thing is they acted like the assignment of trees to customers were cast in stone, but as in 2021, I got there to see dead trees outside and overheard them discussing customers who no longer wanted the trees they ordered, so the rigidity that department displayed was just senseless. While my family loves the smell of a real tree in our home, I am extremely averse to patronising and spending my hard earned money with organisations that tries to treat me like a second class citizen. This bunch has also convinced me it is time to go artificial & thankfully a family member was with me to witness the poor & out of order display of customer service so it should be easier to make my case for an artificial tree going forward. Thanks to Madeka who listened, heard me and offered assistance.
