Citronella Resort

My wife and I spent 11 blissful days on this property. If you're looking to unplug, relax, and have an appetite for a laid-back/recharge vacation, this is the place to go. The property is beautifully maintained, well-staffed, and is chock full of various plants, palms, flowers, and local fruits. There are a number of vantage points and access in which you will have to view the ocean, caves, and the most dynamic sun sets imaginable. There are numerous amenities, e.g., internet, A/C, coffee pot, refrigerator, water toys, pool (all waterfront locations). The on-site kitchen offers breakfast, and lunches, and are made to order type offerings.

The walking proximity of Citronella to some of the top restaurants, bars, and local attractions (local cab service) in Negril was a big plus, for us, at the same time, having access to the owner's grill on-site was simply the bomb to cooking the local food we purchased at various market(s), and local fisherman/fishing off the cliffs.

The property has undergone numerous upgrades over the past 10 years. All appliances are now updated to the latest standards to include the inside/outside furniture being hand crafted by a local craftsman.

Stayed at Citronella with my family for a week. It was my third time in Negril at the West End, but my first time at Citronella. Secluded enough yet still able to go have fun when and where you want without any hassle. We ate out but we found out that they have the best chef on site, Colette! The rest of the staff was insightful and accommodating. If you have been to Jamaica, you know that having a comfortable place without hassle is important. I would recommend this place for a very enjoyable stay. Will repeat.

Perfect spot for a getaway vacation without the resort fluff! Private and beautiful! Robbie, Trevor, Stephanie and Junior used to work there. Not sure if they still do! Bunny's Ragamuffin across the street had the BEST, fresh squeezed, cold orange juice for the morning after! Tell Bunny Pete & Tonya say "Hi" if he's still around (he had a son named Ian (if my memory serves me) who should be in his early 20s). Great memories and wonderful people, respect! Everyting is everyting!

Heaven! Only 5 cottages on property. Very private and secure even when fully booked. Staff is the best. Views are the best you will get! Amazing!

Excellent stay as usual. Many new improvements in the works.

😡If I could give less than 1 star I would! We reserved 2 cottages (back in September) for our vacation from 3/1-3-10 only to find out in February that both cottages burned to the ground in October and we were never notified! We were offered other accommodations on the property but were made to feel like they doing us a big favor by letting us stay there. The price for our rooms was ridiculously high ($350 & $195) due the lack of amenities offered (no pool, no restaurant, no bar, no kitchenettes, no safes) and the owner forced us to pay for 2 rooms for our party of 4 even though their website (& our invoice) clearly stated the rooms sleep 2-4 people comfortably. It was private enough (probably because we were the only guests) but the noice from the street, the bars next door and the neighborhood dogs barking all night was awful😡‼ My fiancé has stayed at Citronella many times in the past (under the previous owners) and it was great ~ NOT anymore!!!! Save your money and stay elsewhere ‼‼‼
