We just returned from our Jamaican vacation and I'm writing this review as we finish unpacking. It's my 3rd stay at Travellers and we know the staff and owner well. Since Covid hit, some things have changed. The price of food (everywhere in Negril) has gone up, so did they at the resort. It's the new normal. The room we stayed in (standard room) hasn't been updated yet, and some things could use a refresh. But we are aware of what we pay for, we usually use the room to shower and sleep. We're cool with that.
The 3rd day after we arrived, there was a storm across the west end of Jamaica, and everyone lost power, including Travellers. They were apologetic although it wasn't their fault. They compensated us for something out of their control, which is commendable. A day or two later, there was a fire in one of the power pole, which fried a few AC units, including ours. They tried to fix it, but ended up offering us another room upstairs. We did a quick move and appreciated the effort put into trying to accommodate us. They again compensated us for our troubles.
The restaurant is good but as mentioned the prices have gone up. I will do a complete review on the restaurant's Google page.
The resort has something planned for every evening, either it be karaoke, craft and painting, live music... They host a Jamaican flavour night on Mondays.
The game room is where we spent a few nights to play cards. It's where the old spa used to be. It's brand new and well done. There's a table, pool table, foosball and a big TV. It even has its own bathroom and shower!
Romeo the bartender is still there and makes the best drinks you'll ever have. His smile and humour is as spectacular as the drinks he makes.
The property is well kept and they always are busy upgrading the place and keeping it tidy. The cleaning staff is friendly and always greet you while you're passing by. Travellers feels like going back to spend time with family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is so responsive and friendly. They organized our transportation to and from the resort and the drivers were great. In addition, I left my iPad in the room and they were able to work with me to arrange FedEx delivery back to the US. They keep the beach clean and take any seaweed in the morning. Would highly recommend!

Completely forgot to leave my review for this place. I had an amazing stay here with my dad and sister during the summer in July. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and upgraded our rooms free of charge as we had booked the wrong rooms with no air conditioning by accident. The hotel was right on the beach and it was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Would book again.

The staff at the bar / dinning area were so nice. Ricky, was very accommodating, his drinks were strong and smile always bright. Rodger, saved me when my phone fell in water and he helped get me a bag of rice. He has the sweetest spell and always greeted me with a smile. I would pack him in my coat case if I could. Romeo was another bartender who made the BEST drinks. He’s extremely hard working and make sure the bar is ALWAYS clean and trash is disposed of properly. Oval was always very hands on with what ever dinning need or question I had. Sue Ann, I believe that is her name worked in the morning time. She had the sweetest voice and most positive upbeat attitude. The food was good for the most part, they had American food which I found was a plus because those were chooses I knew. IMPORTANT THINGS : Make sure all of you currency is in Jamaican dollars, if you give US dollars they don’t have change for it so youll have to wait or get no change. They do take major credit cards and have Apple Pay as well. I RECOMMEND STAYING IN THE COTTAGES IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO STAY AT TRAVELERS. MUCH MORE MODERN AND UPDATES. I was in room 20 on the first floor. It was a superior double queen bed, which I has 2 physical keys, One was for the front patio and the other one was for the back. The water pressure was very low and there was only warm water. There was LOTS of feet traffic the walls are thin so you can hear through them. Without a doubt, I heard everyones conversation nice and clear as they would walk by. The rooms are outdated., they are doing construction at the moment, (November 13th, 2030). Showers have low water pressure, water doesn’t get hot. There is mol dog the outside of the gutters in the room (I could understand from the heat and humidity). There was chipped paint everywhere, the baseboards need cleaning and repainting. It was clean, as housekeeping would come and clean, everyday. The towels were clean and white and there was always more if needed. House keeping were very hard working ladies / men who kept the hotel clean and running. They are currently under construction, which ends by 6pm everyday. I was never bothered by the noise at all. The pool area was good, they had chairs and umbrellas in which there were multiple available. They had an open bar on Saturdays which stayed open until 5pm. My favorite part was the beachhh, chairs and umbrellas were always handy. As were towels you trade the security gaurd or life guard your room card for a towel. Germaine, was my favorite. He worked at security but if I ever had a mantience question, problem with my key card or any of those he would help immediently. The security guard at the gate, who would let cars in. He was darkskin, glasses and a wore a hat, he was so nice and friendly. He helped me get a taxi with ease. My taxi driver was an older man with grays/ white hair with long locks kept in a hat thingy. He was also so helpful to take to the the atm and stay with me to ensure I was safe. He also made sure I was at the right place before leaving me. There’s no atm on the premises of the hotel but one 10 minutes aware. Beware the atm in the town square or whatever it’s called, runs out of USD and sometimes JMD. I would go to the one further in downtown Negril.

Rooms are modest but have all the basics; they're working on making updates

Views and access to the beach is amazing

Good service and lots of activities to do; the event Coordinator Julie always has something fun planned for the day. They have a newly built activities room now too with a pool table, TV, chess board, and lots of board games.

Where to start? Travellers is beautiful and is home. I stayed here 3 weeks with my 11 year old son. From the moment we exited the airport we were greeted by our smiling driver. Once we arrived at the resort, refreshing beverages were offered, gratis :). Check in was a breeze and I cannot say enough about the level of dedication and commitment from the front desk staff. Any request was welcomed with a high-spirited “Yea Mon”, my son’s new fav phrase. Our room was lovely, with a fridge and a balcony, that I was able to work from during my stay. We were there the month of August and were so grateful for the high-powered AC that was a life saver from the heat..lol. My son totally enjoyed the pool with swim up bar for his smoothies and munchables :). The best life guard ever, was committed to ensuring the kids were safe. The view from the resort restaurant is not only breathtaking, but therapeutic and calming. There is 24-hr security on site which made me feel totally safe. The food was great. And last, but definitely not least, much love to the amazing restaurant and bar staff who always greeted us (and put up with us!) with a smile, to the very last day. Will surely be coming back and undoubtedly recommend staying at Travellers ❤.

This is definitely the place to stay if you're not into all inclusive resorts. The staff is so awesome and talk to you like a friend everytime they see you. They welcome you in with a huge smile and will help you set up any activities you're interested in seeing. Jovanni at the front desk was super helpful and Tucker at the entry gate will make your day better within 5 seconds. I can't say enough good things about them. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Jamaica. Yeah Mon

The entire property was a total experience. The entrance was open and airy. The grounds were immaculately manicured. The rooms were excellent, and the service was great. The gym despite being small was very accommodating, and could handle at least eight ppl @ a time. The restaurant and bar had a nice menu and the food had a homemade feel.
Overall, the whole experience was a "VIBE" as the say. I will definitely be booking again. 👍🏾

My husband and I stayed at this resort on our first trip to Jamaica. My friend and her mother also stayed there. We were received with a welcome drink ours was nonalcoholic and very delicious although they have both options. They have a gated entrance/exit with security. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It has pool, beach access, gift shop and restaurant on site although we ventured out for food and gifts since it’s close to market.

Stayed one night here before driving to Ochi - great location and lovely staff. Bar leads right onto 7 mile beach but they also have a pool with shaded pool chairs. The rooms were fine - simple yet affordable and with a comfy bed. Ensuite washrooms lacked some privacy but was manageable.

Would stay again! Negril is beautiful!

The service was excellent from the front office agents, maintenance team, dining room team, etc.

Overall a really pleasant time. Location is on the western side of 7 mile beach. The room was clean and got the job done. One evening we lost hot water and the TV does this random loud static sound. But we didn't go to Negril for the room. The beaches were beautiful and the resort was laid out well. The dining options were okay, but you're better off trying one of the other hotel restaurants along the strip, like Kuyaba which is a 10 minute walk down the beach.
