Katamah Beachfront Guesthouse

We just got home from the most beautiful stay at Katamah Guesthouse. We stayed in the Marika villa and it was beautiful. Very comfortable and the view was to die for. The grounds at Katamah are beautiful as well. Flowering plants and trees adorn the property. The owners and staff are top notch. I can't say enough about Katamah Guesthouse.

Our stay at Katamah could not have been more perfect. Beautiful rooms with screened in porches. The property was amazing, so thoughtfully laid out and the flowers were out of this world.
Friendly staff, lovely owner. Go there - you will not regret it!

I LOVE Katamah, it really is a jewel in Treasure Beach. The vibes, ambiance, the pure beauty of it all is really an experience. It’s close to shops, restaurants and all sorts of wellness spots. I definitely will always come back to Treasure Beach and stay here!!

Katamah did an amazing job of creating a space and experience that was unaffected, very welcoming and included everything we needed. We were worried about privacy staying in the Amina cabin, but it was never an issue. The outdoor spaces were set up in a way that we could sit in a cozy nook while others were around us making food or enjoying the space as well. Treasure beach is a remote area but the neighborhood has lots of great food options. We were content to relax and swim every day. The cabin itself was very comfortable. Amina has an outdoor shower that felt great after a swim but was chilly if you wanted a shower first thing in the morning. This was our first stay and before we left we were already planning our return!

A little slice of paradise. Our stay in the Maya room could not have been in a more ideal location. Wake up at sunrise, open the doors, and there is the ocean welcoming you to a new day. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was very clean. The staff was welcoming. The amenities on site (snorkel gear, kitchen, lounge space, etc) were just the perfect final touch to the resort. Treasure Beach is exactly that, a treasure. We loved the town and the community. Delicious food is within walking distance or a short drive. We don't often return to places we travel to, but would absolutely return to Treasure Beach and Katamah. Thank you for your hospitality!

We spent a lovely evening at Katahma with Moni and Simon. Katahma is a truly magical place and the design of all the rooms and public spaces are really fantastic!

Our room was perfect and the rain shower was awesome! The bed was nice and comfy! They are located on a nice stretch of beach on Frenchmen’s bay…perfect swimming.

The gardens are amazing! Simon has done all of it and it is so beautiful! You can tell so much thought and love have gone into creating Katahma! We highly recommend it and we will visit again!

Our family (myself and my wife and out 4 children) absolutely love Katamah! The owners, Moni and Simon, are an amazing couple and wonderful hosts. They go the extra mile to make you feel at home and they're always suggesting ideas for things to do in the area. The property is small enough where the kids can roam freely without mommy and daddy worrying.
There's no food on site but each room has a kitchenette and there's a beautiful communal kitchen space just steps from the beach!

Rustic. No hot water. Beautiful. Wonderful service. A bit off the beaten path, but isn't that preferable? Many interesting places to eat within walking distance

Came to Katamah for a retreat with my partner and let me tell you! We are coming back!!! The natural vibe of the cottages, the peace and serenity of the surrounding plants accompanied by the calming beach front waves—Katamah is everything you need. On top of it all, the host, Moni, is wonderful! She greets you with a smile, and does her best to ensure you achieve the goal of your visit.

We had a great stay in the Maya suite, it was very spacious and comfortable and so relaxing to be so close to the ocean waves. The Katamah grounds are gorgeous and peaceful and Monica was a great host - setting us up with a boat tour and great recs for the area. Highly recommend staying here and hope to return!

There is not enough I can say about Katamah. The location is perfectly situated in Treasure Beach. As someone traveling alone I can do as much as I want or as little as I want and be perfectly good with both. The cabins are lovely, the staff is amazing, the garden is gorgeous. This is the space where I come to let go and restore myself. Highly recommend.

We loved everything about this place. My husband and I were in Treasure Beach on vacation. I have to say this location is top tier. Beach is right through the gate at the property. Views are amazing. The place is very safe and there are gate codes to ensure no one gets in who isn't a guest.
The property is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are artfully and tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's no restaurant on site but it is walkable to several restaurants literally next door or down the street. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely revisit ❤

This is a little slice of heaven. The most perfect place, on the most gorgeous beach in the heart most lovely Jamaican seaside community.
If you want to stay somewhere that feels like a truly good place - then this is it.
The ambience is beautiful. The rooms and cabins are all individually built and crafted by the owner. They are beautifully furnished and styled - in a Jamaican, Morroccan Brooklyn meld.
The beds are comfortable with lovely fresh linens. The bathrooms are beautiful & clean and one even has a roll top bath. Some have kitchens and sundecks or sunrooms. The pretty well tended gardens have many place to lounge and dine.( ask the gardener about the amazing plants)
This place oozes relaxation. There is a big shared kitchen if you are tempted to cook with delicious local produce - ideal for chefs on tour. There is also a lovely comfortable sitting room with huge couches to chill out with a group of friends.
The location is ideal for eating and drinking out as you are a short walk or some practically next door. There is a great selection of amazing local cafes, bars and restaurants - all walking distance. A great place for foodies.
If you are looking for a healthy wellbeing holiday there is a fantastic yoga centre down the road with a spa providing lots of healing treatments.
The team at Katamah are friendly, caring and welcoming. The owner Moni is wonderful. Everyone has time for you and you feel really loved. If you want a real experience of a true Jamaican stay then come here. Its friendly vibrant small town.
Its so good that you wont want to leave but if you do there are lots of great trips to be done - by boat or road- a bar at at sea , turtle sanctuary, rum factory - loads to do.

Wonderful place for relaxation and beautifully landscaped. Moni & Simon were great. The spirit animals also. Don’t forget to feed coffee!

Great location on a beautiful bay. Great relaxing atmosphere. Good to visit YS falls, black river, alligator pond. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent to sleep at night. My kids loved playing with the dogs. Great shared kitchen to cook lobsters you can buy from the fishermen of the bay. Moni and Simon are great hosts.

We stayed for one overnight end of March 2023 at the Maya Suite and it was a wonderful experience, just at the beach front. The service from the hotel manager was always very caring and attentive. We can fully recommend this wonderful place, there are also different types of suites and appartements to suit other preferences.

We have been at Katamah for the first time in January 2022 and it will definitely not the last time. We wanted to travel around a bit, but this place was so great that we stayed there for 3 weeks. The couple who owns this place are so lovely and courteous. When we needed something from the big supermarket they bought it for us or when we wanted to have a look on our own, we could go with them. They also showed us some really nice local markets. The amazing furnished huts are directly at the beach, some basic, but really nice restaurants are nearby (you have to try the lobster dishes at Eggy's bar) and if you wanted to cook on your own you find an excellent open air kitchen on the spot. We can't wait to come here again. Thanks to all the lovely people from Katamah who made this an unforgetable holiday.

Love this place! Excellent beach front villa. Location is perfect. Has a rustic chill vibe with a Moroccan flare. Moni and her husband Simon are very accommodating and friendly hosts. Can't wait to come back!

There are not enough words to express how beautiful and special this place is. The intimate Moroccan themed compound has beautiful views everywhere you turn, you can tell the host poured their love into this place. It was the perfect place to reconnect with nature and self. The community style space are perfect to meet and engage with other guests or hangout with your friends and family. We took full advantage of the secluded beach, local restaurants and curated excursions. The magic of Katamah can’t be explained, it has to be experienced! I’ll definitely be back time and time again!
