Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa – All-Inclusive Adult Resort

My husband and I have had the pleasure of vacationing at the Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa for several consecutive years. We had begun to think of the resort as our "home away from home." We were always pleased with the resort, even though there were occasional issues with maintenance, and our room and view always met our expectations. None of those accommodations mattered in comparison to the treatment we received from the amazing staff. We were so impressed with many staff members, including the people who prepared food, the servers, bartenders, and the amazing entertainment crew, as well as others. We were treated like royalty! They made the entire experience so much more fun and enjoyable, and gave us something to look forward to every day and night. Sadly, most of our "second family" that were employed there will no longer be at the resort, which is now under new ownership. Supposedly, they were "let go" by the new management, without any notice. Having been so impressed by the hospitality and concern for others, we have remained in contact with some of the former staff members, and I was heartbroken to learn that some of these amazing, hard-working, loving people have been unable to find further employment, and have been living in unimaginable situations due to their abrupt dismissal. And, to add insult to injury, COVID hit Jamaica, which has further increased their hardship and loss. Some have limited shelter, little food, and diminishing hope, that they will survive long if they can't attain employment very soon. If this is how people that we consider family are treated, then WE WILL NOT be returning to the resort. It doesn't matter how much money has been spent on a huge renovation, nothing can replace the excellent treatment that we received from these amazing former employees.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. I liked that they had different varieties of food, as well as the additional restaurants on the resort. Every encounter, they acknowledged me and made me feel very welcome. It was even a more pleasant stay because I was engaged there. My fiance planned the most spectacular private dinner on a rented gazebo that the staff put together on such short notice.

Really nice resort in Jamaica. Great food and service plus unlimited booze. Love the selection and variety. Wonderful staffs. And beautiful rooms. The resort is not to big and not to small. Just perfect. Had a wonderful time here. And it's all adults. So no kids to worry about. Lots of good vibes and entertainment. I got no complaints. Well be hitting this place again in the future. Will miss this place dearly. A little getaway paradise from real life. Thanks again for all the wonderful memories you created for me.

Loving our honeymoon stay here in Jamaica. This is a great location and close to the best excursions on the island. Best pizza I've had in any resort hotel or restaurant, real brick oven. Beautiful views from our 5th floor balcony too. Much entertainment, so much fun and good food. Will never forget this place. I read some reviews about cleanliness and I would just like to add that while we were there they closed the pool and hot tubs daily for cleaning, scrubbed the entire patio tile area with bleach and each restaurant was closed every couple days for thorough cleaning. We saw them using food thermometers every single day and when a guest left an odor in the elevator we just mentioned it to a staff member and it was cleaned and fresh just minutes later. There was constant cleaning going on. With that many guests there's bound to be some mess overlooked but it wasn't overlooked for long. The place is not brand new, nor perfect but taking that into consideration it was very nice. We had wonderful romantic moments and the staff was so friendly and kind. We loved it there and hated to leave.

This place is amazing! This was my first All Inclusive experience so I picked the smallest resort I could find, I don't like crowds. I was pleased with the results! The resort was 80% full and only had to wait, at most, 5 minutes for drinks or seats at the restaurants.

The food was as expected, the buffet was decent, but the specialty restraints were great.

The staff were good and we had an amazing time.

When I arrived at the resort I was greeted with a cocktail and immediately ushered to my room. My room was lovely and spacious with no issues.

The beach was small, but I always managed to get a chair. I hoped for more night life, but all of the employees were great at creating a fun atmosphere.

My trip was especially good because of the stellar service of Roneil. He truly was a gem! He made delicious drinks, and was great company! I only wished he was there my entire stay.

I would definitely return!

I had a great time at this resort! The wife and I celebrated our 1st anniversary here and I enjoyed every minute. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and plenty of food and drinks.

Only issue I had was the lack of towels. We did a lot of excursions so we got dirty a lot and was limited to towels. Spoke with the manager and they took care of the issue.

If you are thinking about going, go!

We had an amazing time at this all inclusive resort. The staff was fantastic from the second we got off the bus. Also, it was easy to find the bus at the airport! The resort had everything that would be expected and the staff was more than happy to provide excellent service. We were able to book day trips at the hotel with ease and enjoyed all of the accommodations. The convenience of a variety of food options and multiple bars throughout the resort was fantastic! Hope to return here one day! Keep up the great work!

This resort is very beautiful. The landscaping is very well maintained. Entertainment was good. Food was much better than I expected it to be. All the staff are very friendly and are willing to talk to you so you can get some insight on the Jamaican ways. The only thing I would have to complain about is the spa ladies. The spa ladies walked around the resort and would hassle everyone. We were approached by them at least 2 if not 3 times a day even if we were trying to nap or read a book on a beach chair they would still talk to us about the spa. We eventually booked a spot to get into the spa on our last day just so they would leave us alone and then canceled it a few hours before the appointment. Very annoying!!!!!!

Loved it. Wish I was still there and never came back home. Staff and the other vacationers were all friendly and helpful. Good food. Great excursions. Clean place. Party if you want! I miss it and I hate thinking about the trip, It was a once in a lifetime experience. Wont be able to afford a trip like that again. If you go to Jamaica, book here without even looking at other resorts.

Great conference rooms, pools are really nice . A very relaxing atmosphere to be in. Great hotel and lots to do!

Food is served through the buffet mostly local and international cuisines. Ensure you go to lunch early or all the best stuff will be gone. This is an all inclusive resort.

The rooms are very nicely kept 4 stars for the rooms.

Activities can be done throughout the day and you should have an amazing experience.

My bf and I stayed here for my birthday trip and it was absolutely amazing!!! 😊 The staff was so sweet and professional. The resort was beautiful, relaxing, and very clean. 10’s all across the board! We will definitely be back 🤗

People made the difference! They made the vacation enjoyable. The quality and variety of food was pretty amazing. Beautiful location, nice beaches and great lay out. Loved it was adults only.

Few things could have been better. Hot tubs and pools needed better care. But truthfully the whole resort could have used a little more cleanliness. Last one... WIFI was terrible!

I had an awesome vacation. We did our honeymoon here and it was everything we wanted and more! Food was good, the staff was awesome and the room that we stayed was really nice(diamond -concierge), property was well kept. Sailing was awesome. I would definitely recommend this property for couple's who just want to relax and enjoy a nice cozy resort. Planning to go back soon!

One the most beautiful places I have been. The resort is amazing. The staff is always in a happy and friendly mood. Food is great with many options. And do I need to say anything about the drinks they are never ending. Garnet is one amazing bartender, he made our stay unforgettable. He and Hopeton always had time to have to have a conversation along with making those amazing. If you go make sure to look them up. We can't wait to get back.

Such a great and affordable place to vacation! Staff is amazing! We were greeted with a cold drink and towel. Rayan the bartender was awesome! Rooms were very clean, we had an issue with the bathtub drain and it was fixed very quickly with no fuss. The beach was clean. The food was very good! (Expecially the pizza!) Over all a beautiful resort! Will be back :)

AMAZING!!!!!!! I stayed at the Jewel Dunn's River for four days to attend a wedding. The stay amazing the staff was amazing the facility was clean and very accommodating. The entertainment the host (Mayor) and the hostess (Monique) received five stars from me also the waiter Eric was on point with drinks and conversations. I went with my sister but I plan to take my husband next year to the same resort. 5💫

Ok, I just returned from my first ever trip to Jamaica, and I was blown away by the experience! This resort is over the top nice and everyone was really friendly. I was nervous because of some of the bad reviews of this resort. This was everything I hoped it would be and more! Yes there are cats there but they are not intrusive in any way they are friendly if you want to pet them and ignore you if you don't. Yes there were some bees (honey bees not yellow jackets or wasps) but only around the bars where there is tons of fruit, juice, and booze around attracting them, it's outside what do you expect? They were not a problem at all! The place was clean, our room was awesome, the drinks were delicious and the food was great! We did have an issue with a couple of cigars and a pack of my girlfriends cigarettes being stolen out of our room which sucks but I guess our bad for not locking them up. To wrap this up I would totally recommend this place to anyone and I would return here again!

Spent my honey moon here 2018 and the experience was absolutely awesome. The property is well maintained, the staff is awesome. Big up to Ludlow our butler he was extremely professional and ensured we enjoyed our stay. These are the reason my wife and I decided to return. This time however we choose to spent the day using a $75 us dollar day pass. Included in the package my wife received a pedicure and I choose the massage. It was incredible.

Everything was wonderful. The waiters were very good and friendly. Unfortunately we have forgotten some of their names. Sassy and crazy Kim did a very good job with the entertainment. Junior was exceptional as a water aerobics instructor. He worked us very hard. The food was very well prepared and wonderful and we enjoyed the beach and patio parties.
