The World Famous Dunn's River Falls & Park

This was one of the best experiences of my life! We climbed from the ocean to the top-960 feet. We even did the second half twice!
There were a ton of people there, but never seemed crowded. Friendly people, offering to help or take our photo so we could both be in it. In fact, my husband got ahead of me, as I was lolly-gagging, and a sweet women and her daughter from China adopted me until I caught up with him.
We booked a afternoon excursion, but only had a couple hours at the park. I would recommend spending the entire day there, climb the falls, enjoy the park amenities, go through the vendor stands, and do the falls again. I would also suggest using one of the guides. They will take photos, give you tips, and show you the easiest way up. The climb looked intimidating, but at 58 & 64 we took it slow and easy, enjoying each new spot and had no trouble! It was a blast and I can’t wait until my grandsons are old enough to go.

The drive to Dunn's River was peacefully and awe inspiring. Dunn's River was a fun place to be and a great way to meet locals and tourists. The experience of climbing the waterfall from the beach below and immersing yourself in the nature is awesome.

The water is cold and greenish (because of the green rocks), but it's an awesome and fun experience. 10/10 I will go there again.

Do yourself a favor, visit here. Don't be afraid to stick your feet in the water it's really cool and refreshing. This is one of Jamaica's blessings.

Do make sure you bring water shoes, Seriously. I brought 5 Finger Shoes and they worked nicely.

The Water proof phone case with the neck strap was $12. Bring yours or buy one. You'll want to take pictures.

I spent $5 on Jamaican snack food at the Snack Shack. 😋

It's gorgeous. Breathtaking. There are all sorts of wild cocks and chickens roaming the grounds and don't be surprised by the huge spiders in the trees on the banks.

Oh and there's also a craft market so you might want to bring $ to spend there.

Super fun place, really pretty, and so much fun for all ages. It's great for disabled people, so many guides to help you get around

The falls park was completely organized and the guides are extremely skilled at their job. They guide you through each and every step of the fall hike to the top. It was a beautiful scenery to behold.
Entry fee: $25 USD.
Clean washrooms and change rooms.

Falls is an absolute charming place to experience natural beauty.

The place is really nicely maintained and they have tried to clean rocks to avoid algae.

1. Get comfortable water shoes
2. Arrive before the park opens and be first to avoid huge crowds which come from cruise docking.
3. Avoid walking on black algae and walk on green instead. Black is extremely slippery and green is safe ( yeah reversed, dunno why )
4. Get just one bag together as a group so you save on locker money.
5. After you give back the key you also get some refund amount.
6. Please carry bottled water.
7. Kids of age 6 below need to be picked up so be ready for it, as hike is through the falls and water is deep in certain places.

Hiking up the falls is a great experience. Being in nature at Dunn's river is a fully immersive experience. Soaking up natural surroundings is always good for the soul. Our guide was great, with no incidents, just laughter and great memories!

Finally visited this iconic Jamaican site and it didn't disappoint. What a beautiful place and you are given the choice to explore without climbing the falls or to climb with a guide and photographer. Although initially apprehensive, I decided to climb with my husband and was assisted by our guide Adrian who was so helpful and encouraging. I unfortunately twisted my knee about 3/4 way up and was assisted to the nearest exiting platform and taken to the nurses station. Tracey and Sonia were both very caring and efficient and gave me first aid and I felt I was in great hands.
My knee injury was unfortunate but I have to give credit to the staff who were all very kind, helpful and attentive.
My recommendation if you visit the falls is risk assess yourself, if you are confident you can climb then do it as it is a beautiful experience. But it's equally as lovely, to explore the beach and view the falls from the bottom.

We have been wanting to go climb the falls for some time. This place is a MUST see even if you cannot physically do the climb go experience the views! Absolutely stunning and the guides help you navigate through the climb.

This is an absolutely amazing place. I would highly recommend doing this hike to anyone who’s visiting Jamaica. My partner and I are frequent hiker. Therefore it wasn’t very difficult for us to do this hike. But for not so physically active people it could present some challenges. I’d rate it as difficultly level-5 for this hike which is moderately challenging. I’d recommend hiring a guide to do this hike instead of venturing out alone. The guides are very good here. They know what they are doing. They usually have you and your party to make a human chain to go up on the sides. They have been in this path a thousand times so they can probably guide you blind folded!
I’m amazed by how nicely they maintain the area and the fall itself. Big shout out to the park and Jamaica!

Have been going to Dunns Rivers Falls for the last decade now, as many times as I’ve been, I truly fall back in love with it immediately. Jamaicans are so amazing , the views and experiences I have had here is one I hold tightly. The cost is very reasonable as well, my Daughter and I generally spend the whole day there.
Lil water park inside, great gardens at the top, and I mean the falls!!! Not to mention there is an amazing lil beach at the bottom 😎🤙. Boom Bap Up top.

Dunn's River Falls are so Beautiful, make sure to have good water shoes because the rocks can be slippery at times yet the entire climb was fun ! They also offer tour guides (for a fee) yet I just wanted to experience the Falls at my own speed to actually enjoy and take pictures!

I love this place! I will definitely be returning. Our tour guide and bus driver were so friendly and helpful. Our excursion guide was so friendly! This excursion was life-changing. I highly recommend The World Famous Dunns. You won’t regret it. 🤗

Really nice experience. The falls themself are not too dangerous. The water shoes are affordable. They have guides to make sure you get up the falls safe. Really like the tranquility garden. People will try to sell you stuff but they are chill. The food court is decent. They have jelly coconuts and fruit. The ziplining looks like fun. Would recommend

Incredible place. I was really trying to stay off the beaten path, but this is a must see in Jamaica. Swimming in the water and climbing the falls was a magical mystical experience.

Went on a cruise excursion, had the absolute best time!!! Del Henry was our guide and Moose was our photographer. They were so knowledgeable, thoughtful and amazing! I will only go back if they're my guides!!!!!

Loved EVERYTHING about this place. Cool water, and it was quite exciting! Make sure to wear closed toe shoes and be careful of the slippery rocks.

Our experience was great. We chose to get to Dunns River EARLY. I think they opened at 8:30 and we got there around 8:45. We walked all the way down to the beach and started climbing up from there. It was beautiful and fun! We had the waterfall to ourselves! After the climb up we walked back to the beach and enjoyed the water a little. We did not use a guide but if you want pictures of your self on the way up might be helpful. We did notice with guided tours they started about 1/4 way up and skipped some parts. I will add photos of what we saw at 9am vs 10:30. Also when you exit be ready for a ton of souvenir shops. Everyone was nice but somewhat pushy trying to hand us things. If you are climbing the falls bring water shoes and a waterproof bag for your phone. We did not do zip lines so can't speak to those.

Incredible! Had a great time. Water felt cold at first but ended up being so refreshing. Must be careful on the climb, but went with a tour group and always felt safe. Our tour group had people of all ages and everyone was able to make the climb. Great views, fun times.
