Have known Island Car Rentals as a child growing up in Jamaica and Proud to see where the Business, Products and Services have escalated to the best to suit all customers.

Their office looks like a typical 1990s office with paper everywhere and older phones (which is still kind of cool), but the staff is very professional and the business offers full insurance coverage on their cars (which is most useful as a tourist).

Best place to rent cars in Jamaica, cars in excellent conditions. At the pick up desk everyone is very friendly and professional. Drop off desk also very good they always take you back to the terminal has good gesture.

Easy to hire a car as a foreigner, we had it for 4 days and drove to Montego Bay and dropped it off at the airport with ease. We received our full deposit, easy transaction. Also much cheaper than international car rental brands as it’s local. Car was decent, got us from A-B and had AC, we had our own speaker so we didn’t use the radio. Recommended

A few years ago the service was excellent and now it is even better!! Not just from one person but from every single person that I met. For tourists, I would highly recommemd paying the bumper to bumper insurance even if your credit card takes care of the LDW because nicks and bumps are almost certain in your time in Jamaica.

My sales rep, Samanta, is awesome! She's the reason I return to ICR. She's so welcoming, friendly, efficient, swift, and thorough as always. NO attitude at all...great customer service skills. The gentleman who checks the cars out and in is very professional too.
The only minor complaint I have is that I got an older car on the last rental, but it was clean and the AC worked.
Overall, the rental process (check-in and out) was seamless and quick.

Very good experience. The customer service was very good. However, the new entrance (the big iron gate ) is very unattractive, and no one sees you coming. So you are left to stand outside unless you bang on it to attract the guard's attention.

If you are going to Jamaica, I certainly would recommend car rental from this place especially if you are coming from Canada or the USA. The customer service representatives are absolute darlings, everything was so smooth and easy-going. We were assigned a car where the back bumper was falling off, I refused it and the customer service agent went in and got us a more intact vehicle. We rented a Toyota Corolla and drove among several parishes Kingston, Manchester, St Elizabeth, St Ann and Montego Bay and spend about $8000 JMD on the gas altogether.

We picked up the vehicle in Kingston and dropped it off in Montego Bay. The drop off was a piece of cake! We got our deposit back the same day. There were no hassling or complications. Granted we took care of the vehicle and ensured we were the only ones who go around the steering as agreed.

I can honestly say it was a great experience for us.

We stayed in Negril, and after our week at wedding resort with guest- we continued our honeymoon tour beautiful island of Jamaica- 5 days visiting multiple locations on island-

Island Car Rental delivered car to us at resort in Negril and we were able to have car dropped off up at airport at time of departure.
SUV was clean and in great condition!
