A great museum! Madly cheap, offering tremendous collections of beautiful crystals, fossils, skeletons and (sadly, but hopefully those are old and they’re not acquiring new specimen… :(( ) stuffed animals from all over the world. A must visit if one’s interested in history and paleontology!

Had an amazing experience and stayed for 2.30 hours without even feeling the time passing but I think the explanations about what was shown could be written in english aswell (for non-italian speakers like me) and that's really the only cons.

Worth the money, good way to spend time in Milan!
We spent about 3 hours there.
Amazing crystals on show, but the animals part is really incredible. It has about every animal imaginable and everything is well organized

Do note that most things do not have English explanations, only Italian, so Google translate will come in handy.

Ce here on the first Sunday of the month (meaning, the entrance was free). Came right after lunch, cause around 4pm there was a huge line outside!

The museum is just huuuge! We saw all the possible stones, dinosaurs, insects and animals and much more.

Adult tickets are just €5 and kids go free. It is a big museum with a section dedicated to dinos. You can easily spend 2 hours there. A must visit for your kid likes dinosaurs.

Very good place to visit with the kids. We always go to Natural history museum when we visit a city.
This one is small but beautiful and worth visiting.

You gonna have a literal field day when you ever want to visit!
This museum contains everything you want to see about natural history on display:
Minerals, expansive collections of insects & other critter specimens; Small& big every kind of aquatic, avian, mammal and reptiles on display, inspection or posed in wicked cool dioromas...

(I simply adored the themed dioromas, they are spot on! No visible lines, great transitions between the terrain and the matte background, amazing underwater displays wich are completely dry...)

My honest exeprience is to attending a zoo frozen in time. Their taxidermy displays are out of this world. 3 full floors of great displays it's mesmerising. Not to mention just plain awesome dinasaur fossils. If you want to study anathomy but your subjects just never stand still, this is the place for you.
If you have a favourite animal of any kind, they probably have it on display somewhere.

For summer time visitors, it has A/C! Great way to beat the heat during mid day heatstrokes! (With the exception of glacier themed exhibits being *globally warm*. I've find the irony amusing.)

Bring your newphews for looking at cool stuff, bring your kids to have that one unforgettable memory before a messy divorce, discuss about fossils with your friends and hear them ramble about they could take out the american brown bear in combat if it wasn't stuffed, go alone or go on a date, go casually or academically...

This place's a 100% must-go if you got tired of only visiting art museums in Milano.

What a collection of natural stones! The colour palette is fantastic! The priceless collection and stands are super clean and nicely lightened.

Evolution halls are a bit old, but the presentation is fantastic. I wish they had more English explanations.

Check the other two floors. The collection of animals - the best I've seen so far.

Highly suggested.

The museum is really fantastic. On the ground floor there is a nice collection of dinosaur fossils and related information. On the top floor there are some great exhibits of dioramas and stuffed animals, well maintained and organized. Too bad that most of the descriptions are not translated.

Very interesting, large museum. With children you can walk around for a long time and look at everything. Not expensive. I would have liked a little more benches for parents to rest while the children enjoyed the exhibits.

We visited Milan this time with little children, so it was a must visit for us: Surprise! Such a beautiful building, and inside we got a packed average size museum, with super dinosaurs, but not crowded, as the Natural History Museum in London, although the dinosaurs are comparable in size, but not in number. It is light, spacey and breathable, giving time to the visitor to enjoy and learn, not only see. But what we all liked are the dioramas on the first floor. They are so realistic, and the level of details is just amazing: the mud, the water, the insects, even the fallen leaves, everything makes a complete scene, which is so useful and eye-catching, for adults and children alike! Worth visiting it!

It was a great experience for my 3 yo girl. We saw so many animal figures which looks so real. (I think some of them are specimen, some of them are just figures. )There's a park outside the museum, with children theme park and playground. Worth to spend half day there.

Very large musum that cover a wide range of natural habitats, animals, and natural history. The stone exhibition is one of nicest I visited. The building it self is nice from the outside.

It is an amazing, wonderful museum you should visit at least once. Ground floor there are dinasour skeletons and some beautiful gemstones but the show begins at upstairs. If you are an enthusiasistic person to watch wildlife documentaries you shall surprize at increadibly real-like wild animal models behind the glass. You can take photoshoot but video recording is not permitted.

I love visiting natural history museums when I go abroad and this genuinely has to be one of the best ones I’ve visited. Some of the scenes they depict seem so real. The taxidermy is done to such a high level and all the skeletons are amazing.

very well-done. suitable for family with kids and adults. collections including minerals, fossils, dinosaurs, and large sections of taxidermy separated by animals and plants in their natural habitat. very educational and intriguing, but a little warm in certain areas during winter. lots of captions are in english, if not, google translate app is always handy!

My friend and I visited this on a whim as we happened to walk by it! Tickets were super reasonably priced (€3 for under 25, and €5 for over). We LOVED the crystal exhibit, and were blown away by the details, realism, and care shown in all the exhibits of the animals. We don’t speak much italian so we struggled with the descriptions, but this did not take away from our enjoyment. Staff were also lovely!
