A little jem close to Brera quarter. Impressive paintings and sculpures expecially the Madonna. It treasures a very cute Organo Napoletano

Although still outside the major tourist circuits, the church of San Marco has a very ancient history: built in Gothic style starting from 1254
statues on the facade and some inside attributed to Giovanni di Balduccio , a great fourteenth-century sculptor, the thirteenth-century bell tower in Lombard style, some fourteenth-century frescoes from the school of Giotto and valuable sarcophagi and gothic sculptures .

many architects, the world over are amazed by the floor of this famed basilica. it is covered with the rarest marbles from the Eastern world, and at almost 1,000 years old, a more beautiful floor has not been made!

Although majority of original interiors were missing, some original frescoes, statues and tombs survived. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.
