Ristorante Il Castoro

Doesn’t get much better than this! Great value, can be a cheap date with a 1/4 litre of wine and a pizza, or all out swank fest with truffles and steak. Either way it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. No pretentious reimagining of pasta dishes here! Just delicious pasta.

Great Umbrian menu. Wonderful crisp thin wood-fired pizzas. Reasonably priced list of good local wines. What's not to like.

Pork chop is spectacular, as is their vegetarian antipasto.

Updated. Restaurant now has a lovely outdoor dining terrace. Perfect for summer evenings.

Il Castoro is just a fabulous place. It is no nonsense Italian dining. The food is just fantastic, the staff incredibly hard working and friendly. It does not cater too much to tourism which is exactly the places I'm always looking for.

And, keep an eye out for Pola, the very cute and truffle seeking dog!

amazing traditional food from umbria. Here you can have a taste of the famous black italian truffle, there are two different varieties according to the season, the winter one and the summer one, with the first being more flavorful and deep and the second being more light with a little less flavour and smell.
You MUST try the truffle omelette, I would reccomend to have it as a starter and then continue with the first dish, and meat. I tried the grilled lamb and it was super tasty.

Great place. Holidayed in the area for 20 years. Il Castoro was great the first time and still great - now has a wine list as well! Wonderful food, incredible value and great staff. Highly recommended- but it does not need it as it always full of locals.

At first, very good pizza's, we ate different ones and they were all very good. Second, they serve very good desserts, we ate panna cotta and cheesecake and sorbet limone. These were also all very good. Third, very good service and kind waiters who are in for a joke;) And last buy not least, a low price for this all;)

I work all over Italy and this special, beautifully decorated restaurant is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in. The menu is large and the value for money is unbelievable, not only a large selection of meats but also very tasty pizzas. I ate here two nights in a row, I cannot recommend this place enough! A must for locals and tourists who visit Campeggio Il Collacio

Excellent restaurant : amazing food, top quality, service is very good as well. No tourists (except us!), amazing experience!!

The menu is quite rich, we took several dishes, and all were very good. Above all was the revioli with butter and sage.

We come here every week throughout the summer with a group. By far the best restaurant in the area.

My favourite restaurant anywhere. Superb.
