Very beautiful and peaceful cathedral. The most beautiful cathedral we have seen during this year’s vacation. Take a look at the amazing organ by the far right end of the cathedral. Really amazing.

Amazing architecture and a marvel that is preserved for centuries. One of the key things is the holy shroud and it is very sacred for Christians. I had an opportunity to visit during my business trip to Turing and a great history to learn.

The cathedral, built in 1498, is a fine example of Renaissance architecture. One of the most famous medieval relics - the Turin Shroud - is kept here.

The Chapel of the Holy Shroud (Italian: Cappella della Sacra Sindone) is a Baroque-style Roman Catholic chapel in Turin in northern Italy, constructed to house the Shroud of Turin (Sindone di Torino), a religious relic believed to be the burial shroud of Jesus of Nazareth. It is located adjacent the Turin Cathedral and connected to the Royal Palace of Turin. The chapel was designed by architect-priest and mathematician Guarino Guarini and built at the end of the 17th century (1668–1694), during the reign of Charles Emmanuel II, Duke of Savoy, and is considered one of the masterpieces of Baroque architecture. Heavily damaged in a fire in 1997, it underwent a complex 21 year restoration project, and reopened in 2018. The chapel an intricate and self-supporting wooden and marble dome

The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist is one of the most important and historical places not only in Turin but in the whole Italy as the Shroud of Turin is kept there.
Unfortunately, the Shroud isn’t available for visitors and only a replica is presented, but besides that, the cathedral is still worth visiting because of its museum, where a lot of artworks are exhibited.

With so many baroque churches in Turin, it's something of a relief to visit the less exuberant renaissance architecture of the cathedral.

Known mostly for the shroud of Turin, which is most likely not going to be on exhibit when you visit, the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist is an essential stop on any visit to Turin. The building is beautiful inside out. There are many icons and paintings that will make your visit one to remember.

The cathedral is located in Piazza San Giovanni. Beautiful architecture and an historic church. There's a fun park around - you can bring kids to play around. There's also the Officio tecnico dei LL.PP opposite the cathedral. It's a beautiful serene place. Tourist should visit!

a great place for Christ's visitors and believers. I highly recommend this place because it is a religion for every believer. Calun Turynki is a medina paniatka of Christ giving the villa a testament to the Faith in God. The place is richly decorated and has a TV store saying I history of Turin Calun in several languages.

Old but incredibly solid structure! I especially recommend coming here to visit the Shroud of Turin on the north side of the church and the absolutely gorgeous Blessed Sacrament of the south side as well as the relics of St John the Baptist, Christ's precursor, also on the south side.
