Not only a beautiful statue, but the most incredible Lucifer statue I have ever seen. I'm in love. Shame that there are no places to buy a replica or postcard of it. A must see in the city.

Nice Piazza with an impressive fountain near the train station. Interesting pass when walking into the city center. Pretty architecture around and lots of shops and cafes.

Nice square with plenty of trees and lots of benches to sit.
Rectangular shape with a fountain around a rock piramyd and statues above.
Nice place to visit in Turin because the square in closed on 3 sides with nice buildings.

Piazza Statuto is a beautifully designed city square that was built in the second half of the nineteenth century. Its most distinctive feature is a water fountain with several statues. The buildings around the square have a common neo-classical design with a very distinctive brick colored finish that is hard to miss. Being situated at the edge of the historical center, it's not as busy as some other Turin squares. This means that you can sit, relax and soak the atmosphere without having to worry about crowds.

One of the few statues in the world dedicated to the figure of Lucifer or the fallen angel (Besides the one in Madrid and in Quito). It was made to commemorate the construction of the Frejus tunnel (the one that connects France and Italy). In addition to Lucifer on top of the statue, there are some dead titans on the lower part of it. At the time this statue was built, it meant a triumph of the reason over the brute force, and it remembers the suffering of the miners who worked in the digging of the tunnel.

A popular and important square in the city of Turin. In memory of men who died constructing a tunnel, a monument of rocks (from the tunnel) was made and is called the fountain of the Frejus Tunnel. There are gardens around and buses leading to different part of the city.

A big square with a massive monument in the middle. Back in time, in the Ancient Roman Age, it was a necropolis. Now it is a stylish place where people can chill and drink a coffe.

There are many legends in Torino about it being a magic city. One of the legends say that this sculpture would represent something negative, as it turns its back to France, where the accident it celebrates happened. Some people say below that piazza, the waste water system of the city arrives and it would be some kind of magic portal. Haha I love these stories. The piazza Is nice anyway, usually people take dogs there and there's a drink water fountain on the side. :)

Lovely park now lined with trees and a water fountain to drink from but many years ago it used to be the place of the dreaded guioltine

One of the historical beautiful spots of Turin. Start your walk from here and go straight through Via Garibaldi to reach Piazza Castello: a great way to enjoy the beautiful architecture of the town.

A lot of busses pass here to take you everywhere. Local stores and the main street of Garibaldi is near.

It's a relaxing place after a long walk long via Garibaldi. You can seat and the bench and watch the great looking statue.
