Il Ghiottone

This is the second time we came and we had the steak by the weight for lunch!

Asked which steak cut is good and the owner recommended a good cut for two. I would say it's the best steak in Italy for our entire trip across Southern Italy, bravo to Felice!

Ordered the steak to be done ~ Medium to Well...was juicy good and salted the way we like it. Note: the meat is still pink!

Owner Felice was very hospitable and friendly. Always carries a smile with him. Will be back if am in Sorrento.

We arrived for late lunch and the staff recommended what was available, namely the ravioli, roast chicken and steak. They were all well recommended, the ravioli was creamy, both chicken and steak were juicy and full of flavours. Surely one of the best lunch we had in the region.

Unique and very local restaurant as compared to the tourist area in Sorrento.

The ravalio, and beef entrecote was the best I had so far across my travel to Rome, Bari and Matera. Wanted to have more but we are too full.

Forgot to mentioned that their roasted chicken is so juicy and flavourful - a must have!

Takeout - seems they have a takeaway counter next door with a queue! takeaways for their fried food and roasted chicken.

We visited several restaurants in Piano di Sorrento. This restaurant suited us to the maximum. Pleasant staff, air-conditioned room, widely used by locals. The food was always very good, we tried pizza, salads and grilled meat.

Do NOT miss going here when you are in Positano. We've been here twice already and we are only here for 4 days. The staff is the best and the food is unreal. Greatest value for your money also.

The owner was wonderful to us, he made a delicious wine suggestion and the food was excellent. One of the best steaks in all of Italy. We will definitely go back and tell everyone we know to try it when in San Agnello

I was recommended by a friend to come to Ghiottone. I was not let down. Delicious fried goods and a Prussian steak to die for!! Felice is a wonderful manager who really cares about guests and their time spent there. Highly recommend!

THE BEST PIZZA in all if Italy! Actually, the best pizza we've ever had. So good we went three nights in a row. We also tried the steak and the pasta. All the food here is fantastic and the service too. Felice is the nicest person, he made us feel right at home. And please have a Peroni Chill Lemon with your pizza. Take us back!!!

I grew up 2 mins walk from this place and I can genuinely say: best pizza in the world! Not sure there is much to add....it's a family owned place, the staff are beyond friendly, prices ridiculously low, food ridiculously tasty. They have take-away food at lunch too. Every time I go home to visit I never miss Ghiottone. I cannot recommend them enough! <3

Great place if You are looking for something not as traditional. I took chicken with fries. Portion was huge, just missed salads or sauce.

Simple menu, excellent pizzas. Lots of locals, everyone very happy.
