From us is 5 stars. I don’t understand the 4.2, it is much better. Local restaurant, always full, this means a lot. I drunk a premium lambrusco, all the tasted food was exceptional, the desserts wasn’t t my type, but the tiramisu also had a high quality. Highly recommend it.

Place was busy when I was there (for good reason). Excellent food, perhaps one of the best meals I've had. Excellent pasta dishes and meat, roasted vegetables were delicious. Desert was out of this world. If you are in the area make a reservation and go! Unassuming, tight seating, very friendly staff. You might pass it by accident, but surely worth it.

As l'Osteria del Gallo there's not any other place in Bologna. Here you can taste the original flavour of the region with dishes hardly rooted in the heritage of Bolognese culinary "cucina". This is the place.

I have no idea what my Italian friend ordered, but everything was very delicious. Highly recommend this place. Charcoal grill in the kitchen explains it all I would say!!!

So good. Delicious food - efficient service. Perfect after a hike to Cappella di Santa Barbara😁 I tried the spaghetti carbonara with lake fish.

Incredible, well in the top meals I ever had in Italy!

We were on our way from Venice to Florence driving a large van and wanted authentic homemade food with parking. We arrived at 12 when they opened and easily found a place, however this place got extremely busy with locals. The food was outstanding. They have a trio of pastas that you can order so you can sample some of their homemade pastas. However at least 2 of you must order the same pastas. We also had their special beef of the day that was great. To top things off, we ordered tiramisu and zuppa inglese. Very traditional and well made. The service was excellent and we recommend if you are looking for a restaurant close to the freeway, but off the beaten path.

for locals this might not be a 5 star, from what i can see of the previous reviews, mainly due to the price! If you are on holiday and are lucky enough to be in the vicinity to take advantage of gourmet style dining at snack bar prices then take the opportunity to eat here.
We had great service, with customised dishes offered as we could not decide what to have. the pasta was fresh and perfect, ravioli superb, great house wine, sparkling white at 4€/ .5ltr.
2 adults plus child, main course only, 43€ incl drinks and 2€ cover each.
opening times for evening service is 7:30-8:00 and it fills up fast, we were first there luckily.

I was here with friends/colleagues, who took care about selection. It was delicious. I had things which I would not order by mysrlf, but it was really very tasty. Thank you, if possible I csn easilly imagine to return!

This place serves great Italian food. My recommendation is the three kind of pasta and the tagliata.

Some of the most tastiest food I've had on my trip here so far! Friendly staff which speak very good English too. If we're in this area again we will be returning!
