Trattoria da Me

Saffron and cauliflower cream risotto was amazing. Strong cheesy flavour with complexity of the saffron. Agnolotti was silky smooth accompanied with a beautiful gravy sauce. Executed extremely well, especially with the thickness of the pasta being perfect. Slow cooked egg with truffle was a great starter.

Literally one of the best meals that I've had anywhere in the world. The chef cooks with so much heart and soul that the dishes are elevated past food and become almost a love letter to life and the city of Bologna. The fried bread with cured meats are to die for! The fried porcini with mushroom cream dipping sauce SO FREAKING GOOD. The one dish that's on the menu as "the way dad likes it" OMG 😭 it will put tears in your eyes. That veal cutlet tho, man... It's out of this world. The cheesy creme sauce and that slice of prosciutto 🤯 mindblowing. The wine list is pure genius. I'm going to gatekeep one dish from y'all but i'll say if you're having trouble deciding be sure to ask the wait staff for recommendations and they'll absolutely point you in the right direction.

Wow! Food was outstanding, especially the cheese ice cream. Staff is super nice and helpful. The guancia was incredible, as well as the tiepido. The menu is wide and original, I really recommend this place (ps: order some crescentine with the gelato di formaggio!)

Such a lovely dinner! This is not the traditional trattoria, but rather an interesting interpretation over the classic Bolognan cuisine. Everything was delicious, with great service and ambiance. Try to come on a Sunday, as it is the only day of the week they serve their lasagna, which is the best we’ve ever had!

Overall, We had a wonderful experience at Trattoria da Me. The highlight was definitely the lasagna, which is only available on Sundays. It was truly the best lasagna I've ever had - flavorful, perfectly cooked, and a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. I also enjoyed the desserts.

The service was friendly and attentive, though I found it a bit unusual that the waiter threw the bread onto the table instead of placing it gently.

I highly recommend Trattoria da Me, especially for the Sunday lasagna. Just be prepared for a unique bread service style :)

Being very close to our apartment, we were like to dine in this lovely restaurant which felt like home. Starting from serving the water in 24 bottles, Wine and food serving was very delicate. The appetizer of cheeses served with freshly fried breads, is a very tasty start. It is a must. Then enjoy your first and second course with different varieties of meals. It was totally a very memorable dinner. Thanks & will come again when in Bologna ❣

Make your reservation before you go, otherwise you may not be able to find a table. The website said it would take a deposit of €50 upfront, but it did not.

As soon as it opened at 19:30 we walked in. Interior design has a romantic but also dynamic vibe. The waiter who took care of us was a middle-aged gentleman and he made fun of our touristism (coffee choices etc.), he was a wonderful person when it comes to humor 😆. Probably, because of thinking too much and thus ordering relatively late we had to wait 35-40 minutes for our starters/antipasti. But then the service time for our pasta and desserts respectively was short.

A “tagliere” came with “crescentine” (a hot dough product that is much softer and thinner than bread) and a variety of deli meats (prosciutto, mortadella etc.). We also ordered mashed potatoes and salad as a starter. They brought the original Bolognese sauce with crescentine.
- Hot crescentine can be eaten even alone, it was delicious and safe option. And also mashed potatoes’ dairy products balance was perfect.

As first meal we chose “Tagliatelle al Ragu”(Bolognese classic) and Ravioli. Many people suggested us “Lasagne alla Bolognese” but I guarantee every pasta will be at least average in Bologna so go ahead and choose one of them.

We finished our adventure with mascarpone and panna cotta. Both were way above their reference points. You can try it without hesitation according to your preferences (fat ratio, aroma and taste).

Totally, it cost €97, including 2 glasses of red wine and coffee after dinner. It was a satisfying experience for the cuisine of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna.

Wow. Just the ragu alone was incredible. Didn’t know a Ragu could be so good… all our other dishes were incredible. Highly recommend.

The cheese ice cream was a really unique and tasty dish. The cod fish tasted just fine, but the filling kept escaping the shell. The other dishes were very good.

Exquisite food and the staff are very friendly. The green lasagna is amazing, and they only make it on Sundays, so keep that in mind if you want to try it. There's plenty of delicious options, such as the tortellini in broth or cream. I went for the broth option, and it was unique. The local bread to accompany your dish is a must.

What an experience! Loved every single dish. From appetizers to entrees, the meal was an entire experience. This place is a must! Dishes are priced incredibly reasonable. Do yourself a favor and try the tortellini broth! WOWWWWWW!!!!! Our table was going back and forth on the broth and at the end of the meal the chef came by our table and gave us a detailed breakdown of the recipe, which is subject to a 12 hour simmer. Amazing!

Particularly excellent food, with the service and ambiance to match. While plenty of people might feel that this isn't "traditional" Bolognese food, I'd say that they take typical Bolognese dishes and make small modern changes to make the whole dish straight up better. Lots of traditional spots in the city are doing the same dishes from 300 years ago... this place keeps the soul of those dishes but adds updates that improve the whole experience.

Everything we had was perfect, with the Tiepido being a definite "don't miss" dish (the ravioli is filled with parmesan cream with an effect like a Chinese soup dumpling. Absolutely wonderful.) The Cottoletta Alla Bolognese was also a perfect example of the classic dish.

Make reservations and don't miss this place, truly one of the best meals of our visit.

The main course I had was okay. But the dessert was also very delicious.

Highly recommend this trattoria. The “from one broth to another” dish was to die for!!! One of the best dishes we’ve ever eaten. We also loved the cheese ice cream, the slow cooked egg, and the panna cotta. Far and away the best meal we’ve had in Italy so far. To top it off, the waitstaff was super welcoming and friendly.

I got an instant good impression on arriving at Trattoria da Me and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is cozy and service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The crescentine with cured meats was amazing, I would definitely recommend ordering for a taste of Bologna. We also really enjoyed the slow cooked pork ribs and Bolognese schnitzel. We couldn’t fit in dessert but would love to go back one day. Highly recommended!

Happy to recommend this restaurant. Food and service were excellent and the price was reasonable. Good, traditional, hearty Bologna fare in a simple and pleasant setting. The filmmaker Oliver Stone had his dinner there that night. The staff acknowledged him, but most diners simply got back to focusing on their food.

We visited here on our second evening in the city, having booked it beforehand, and it was exceptional. Whilst one of the more expensive meals we had, this was because we ordered a lot of very high quality food, including traditional ragu, bone marrow and ribs, along with some antipasto to start. All were exactly what traditional food in this region should taste like, according to my Italian partner (who was recommended it by a friend in the first instance). The service was also very attentive, so I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city looking for an authentic experience.
