If you're a football fan and in Napoli, this place is a 'must visit'. Nearest station is Campi Flagieri (or it's a good 45min walk from Lungomare area/coastline of Napoli). Allow time to get through security. BRING PHOTO ID!!! unlike UK, you can drink Beer in your seats. About 5Euro for SSC Napoli own brand lager. Next time - I would Superiore seating (elevated view), but probably not behind either goal (where Ultras sit). RECOMMEND.

The stadium is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. Napoli supporters are very proud of their team and the tradition of the club and it can be seen throughout the city. There was a nice atmosphere around the stadium and I thought it was safe. I saw the game against Juventus, Kvaratskhelia and Raspadori scored after a penalty missed by Oshimen.

Great atmosphere, but the stadium is old and has very few amenities. Also getting back to town takes a while because the organization of the crowd is bad

It's easy to get there - from Garibaldi f.e L2 (around 25min.) or by bus 151 (not recommended because it has huge delaying during the game day 🙆‍♀ it's not difficult to buy ticket online but you have to remember to print it! It's not enough to bring it on the telephone screen 😉
Highly recommended to come for a game⚽⚽🇮🇹 even when you are only a few days in Napoli (like I was - 5 days 😉)

Omg I absolutely loved it. The Naples residents are very proud of their team and the tradition of the club. The stadium is very charming and the atmosphere is unbelievable. I got inside 1hr and 30mins early and the fans were already singing. The seats weren't the most comfortable, but they stand the entire time so it didn't even matter. There was a nice atmosphere surrounding the stadium. Saw Kvaratskhelia score his wonder goal vs Atalanta here 🥲😍

The best football atmosphere of the best club in the world! You can still feel the soul of Maradona in and around the stadium. A place which every football fan should visit once in their lifetime. Whether inside or outside, but it is a must visit! This sanctuary has a soul!

Came to see Napoli v. Udinese and had a blast. The home of Diego Maradona did not disappoint with the Ultras curves chanting at one another.

Great atmosphere at the stadium and also easy to get to (train, bus).
One thing I would recommend is that if you are planning to go you must buy train or bus tickets prior because after the game it is very crowded.
When I was at the game (NAP vs. FIO) the game ended around 23:00 and I wanted to go to our hotel by train. When I reached the train station there were aroud 300+ people waiting to enter the train station but the cops only allowed entrace to those who had train tickets available.
My advice is to plan in advance your return from the stadium and have tickets available.

Fantastic to see but sadly not much of a tribute to the GOD that is Diego Armando Maradona. Largely tired looking stadium, very disappointing, hopefully there are plans for refurbishment or regeneration. Come on Napoli! celebrate and honour Diego in a more fitting manner!!!

Much more plain sailing to attend the match. Was expecting complete chaos, but it was fine. Great experience.

I love experiencing games with local fans wherever I get to go. This was a night that I won't forget.

I went there just to visit the second home of Diego Armando Maradona and that is what I found. You can visit the stadium without any problem and be super close to the field. Beautiful stadium with a lot of history!

Visited this stadium as an Ajaxfan today. Only one food-and drinkstand (3 employees) on 2200 people? Good sanitary, clean facilities. Really good (South American) atmosphere in the stands.

🏟Maradona stadium ( ex San Paolo) is a beautiful experience to make in Naples. Neapolitan are so passionate about football and here you can understand the reason: Maradona won two times here the *Scudetto* Italian Cup and this was an unremarkable aspect of everyday life of neapolitans who could finally come back to hope for the right visibility in the whole national territory. Today still many neapolitans are living the same problem as before as many specialised national newspaper still don't give importance to Napoli team despite them to be first place in the league and by playing one of the world best football of all time.🌎

The fans of SSC Napoli are so kind and passionate.

Amazing atmosphere, fans were outstanding, saw no trouble at all, great family section as well, club encourages young to attend, very reasonable ticket costs. Well worth a visit. Bella Napoli xx
