Tiny restaurant with fast service. The food looked beautiful and tasted good. Even in the off-season it was packed, and in the evening you have to wait a while for a table. Prices are reasonable, matching the quality of the food.

Let’s start by saying that out of 6 meals, we ate here 3 times. They serve good quality and tasty food. The pastas are amazing so don’t waste time with the starters -mains are better- The service is fast, attentive and joyful. The prices are very low for Ortigia and you don’t have to pay the coperto (we can call it useless table-tax) or service charge so leaving cash tips is appreciated. They don’t take booking so first come first serve. During pick times you might have to wait outside the restaurant for 30/40 minutes before you seat down but it’s worth the wait, trust me. If you pass by Siracusa, you have to try it!

We started with antipasti, which were delicious, featuring the best ricotta I've ever had. The pistachio pesto pasta was incredible. The staff were very kind, providing friendly and quick service.

Artsy atmosphere, hipsterish in a way, very delicious pasta and cute and friendly waiters.
P. . Tiramisu was disappointing though … don’t recommend it.

IT was a pain trying to get seats in this place and a bit of a rough start .... But it was well worth it once we settled in and got served.

The food is classic and has a rustic home cooked feel about it, in a very good way.

It has a busy conversational, relaxed vibe and the prices seem more than fair for what you get.

I loved this place so much I came here twice during my stay. The atmosphere was charming, the staff were attentive and kind, and the food was delicious - I enjoyed everything I had - the grilled swordfish, the sausage, and especially the fedora cake that I'll be dreaming about. Service was fast, and I enjoyed dining both indoors and outside. I'd definitely recommend this place when you're in Siracusa!

The quality of food, price, and overall vibes of this place are hard to beat. Cozy location right off of Fontana di Diana. Generous pours of wine and great local Sicilian fare make A Putia a must for any traveler. English speaking staff available. Of note, the restaurant actually turns tables and there is usually a line if you’re not there early. Expect faster service.

Disregard the reviews of the haters, their concerns are opinions. Yes, there are foreign tourists here (this restaurant is listed in foreign guidebooks like lonely planet (FOR GOOD REASON)). I've been in Sicily for weeks and the starter was the BEST YET! ❤ Get the 16€ mixed Sicilian platter... It's basically all the other starters combined, including five types of seafood, TOTALLY WORTH IT. Super relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Very reasonable drink prices, great night out, highly recommend!

This was some of the best pasta we had on our trip to Sicily! The plates are pre-heated so your pasta stays warm and the flavours were top notch!

We were so lucky to get a seat here - sat outside even though weather was uncertain. Exquisite food. Pasta with meat balls and I had grilled Octopus with potatoes. Wine and Biscoti dessert. Only 41 Euro and some of the best food ever.

Best meal had in Ortigia, perhaps in all during our two week trip around the island. Delicious in a fun quaint restaurant. Best meatball I’ve ever had, don’t tell my Italian relatives. No reservations, get there early or be prepared to wait. The wait was worth it.

Fantastic food, very kind service, great quality for price. There is an english-speaking waitress, so it is very convenient for communication. The pistachio cake dessert is fabulous. We had Parmigiana, Pasta Pomodoro and Pasta Pistachio, two desserts and a bottle of wine and paid 57€. No coperto was included.

The best dinner we had in Sicily ❤ I recommend to book a table here otherwise you need to wait. The atmosphere of restaurant is amazing the owner is really kind and cool. They serve traditional sicilian dishes and I must say it was the best caponata I have ever had. The must of the menu is pasta with pistachio pesto and bacon. The one with prawns was also good but combo with bacon is top! Chickpea soup could have more intense taste or maybe the option with seafood is better option of the menu. Tuna with pistachio crust was nice and fresh, sandwich ala caprese was nice and crunchy. I must say all the food we have tried and seen on other tables looked outstanding. So if you are in Syracusa this is the place to go. 👌👌👌
