Masseria Astapiana Villa Giusso

A great accommodation! We stayed there only one night, but definitely worth it. The food is great and a pool with amazing view. We also had done a little tour to learn a little more about the family and their history. A place where you can relax, explore Sorrento and surroundings, and eat great food!

Owned and run by the same family for generations this B&B is a former monastery in the hills above Vico Equense and Seiano. The property is now fully renovated as an inn, restaurant and family museum. The pool, gardens, local park and deck are great places to stroll and relax. Because it's located on a hill directly above Sorrento, the views below, out to the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius are spectacular. Overall a beautiful property with kind and helpful hostess and staff that truly do their best to make you feel at home. Excellent selection and well prepared food for breakfast and dinner that includes wine and dessert. Food is served buffet style at community tables in the gorgeous old tiled kitchen with a wood burning oven. Pizza night was delicious and really fun! Rooms are available in the main house as well as in nearby smaller buildings. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Roads in the area are narrow and sometimes not marked well. Get detailed directions, rent a small car and be prepared to get a little lost. Watch for Villa Giusso signs leading to the property or use Google Maps. Well worth the effort!

I've been to many spots on earth, but this one was really outstanding.

We contacted Masseria Astapiana from our hotel in Positano and asked if they could provide us with dinner and a tour. They arranged transportation for us (there and back) and showed us around the beautiful premises. The drive from Positano was nice.

Tullio and Giulia were wonderful, and knew everything about the history of their family's place. We finished the night with a great dinner on a terrace. This is a very small operation - we were one of only a few groups there.

The quiet was a nice break from Positano. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

Villa Giusso is a family owned gem on the hilltop overlooking Sorrento, Vico Equense and the whole Naples Bay. The ancient monastery is still family home of the count and on the the vast family estate you will discover olive trees, figs, a few animals and vegetables.
You can either stay in the old simple cells of the nuns in little houses or in the main villa complex in beautifully furnished apartments.

We definitely recommend having dinner in the house where all guests and some family members come together to enjoy an Italian meal all prepared from local and fresh produce!!!

I brought my wife, her mother, and our two children (ages 4 and 1) here for dinner during our five day visit to the Sorrento area in late September. Before our meal, we were given a tour of the grounds, which included breathtaking cliff-top views of Sorrento, the Bay of Naples, and the surrounding hills. Our hostess also led us through the interior of the main building, where we saw an attic filled with antiques (and a wall of framed photos of a dozen or so Nobel Laureates who have visited the property), and a main hallway with multiple giant paintings from the 1700s. The communal seating at dinner -- and the delicious food (plus desert, wine, and limoncello), capped off a delightful evening that we'll never forget.

This place is just incredible, feels like a hidden gem above all the chaos of the towns below. The history itself is just incredible.

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di scoprire questo posto durante la nostra ricerca per una location dove festeggiare il nostro matrimonio. Semplicemente perfetto, non ci sono parole per descrivere la bellezza della location, dal panorama alla parte esterna, dalla villa alla piscinetta nascosta per godersi un po' di tranquillità. Da elogiare anche la cordialità, disponibilità e professionalità delle persone che gestiscono la struttura (un plauso particolare a Giovanna e Domenico). Ed il cibo...gusto e qualità, non si poteva chiedere di meglio! Hanno reso il nostro giorno speciale semplicemente meraviglioso!

Abbiamo festeggiato il matrimonio di mio figlio. Organizzazione perfetta. Cibo ottimo. Location da incanto. Personale squisito. La sig.ra Giovanna attenta a qualsiasi piccolo dettaglio. Non potevamo chiedere di più per questo giorno indimenticabile

La residenza ideale per godere al massimo e in piena tranquillità dello spettacolo offerto dal golfo di Napoli e dalla penisola sorrentina.
Molte grazie alla signora Giulia, a Giovanna, Ferruccio, Micaela e ai loro cari, che ci hanno accolto come in famiglia, dedicandoci attenzioni, cura e gentilezze in una dimora che racconta molto della storia non solo del posto, ma anche del nostro paese.
Sappiamo già che ritorneremo. Speriamo solo di riuscire a farlo presto.

Tutto curato nei minimi particolari, le signore e il personale molto attenti e disponibili..atmosfera d'altri tempi che rende rilassante il soggiorno.

Di sicuro il più bel posto dove sono stara finora😍si vive un'atmosfera magica girando per i corridoi e visitando i vari saloni dell'agriturismo🤗 ...servizio impeccabile e molto alla mano le due sorelle sono meravigliose disponibili e sembra di conoscerle da sempre💟camere molto belle e particolari..cibo ottimo cuoche e servizio ottimi colazione molto molto ben fornita😋 non manca veramente niente tra torte ..plumcake..frutta disposta in maniera stupenda..ricotta mozzarella..uova ..prosciutto cotto..croissant..e pane...😊la cena lo stesso..primo piatto...secondo di carne e set di contorni self service...e infine dolce..che dire..da prenotare subito..perché questo non è tutto..il resto lo scoprirete voi

Hermoso hermoso hermoso hermoso y mil veces hermoso! las vistas del mar, el lugar la gente, la cena con vista al mar en la terraza, el desayuno en la cocina. Increible todo, altamente recomendable. Desde ahi se puede visitar la costa Amalfitana tambien y hacer caminatas. Un sueño. Un toque especial es la presencia de los dueños que estan para acompañar en cada detalle y para que no te falte nada. Gracias por compartir este maravilloso lugar con el mundo!
