Amazing square!! Reminded me a bit venice San Marco. I would recommend visiting in the evening as well due to great lighting under arches.

Awesome city center, one of the best in Italy. Tucked in the Adriatic hills and about an hour from Pescara. Highly recommend visiting the hill town.

The Piazza del Poppolo is one of the sights of the historic town of Ascoli Piceno. It is very lively here in the evenings and with its many surrounding cafes and restaurants, the square conveys a charming Mediterranean flair.
Definitely worth a visit.

Wow, first time to Ascoli Piceno and walked straight to Piazza del Popolo and the pictures you see don’t do it justice, it is amazingly beautiful and even better if at night. The place was full of people admiring the ancient architecture and discussing the history of this surprisingly non tourist place (apart from Italians on holidays). I will be telling everyone to visit.

We went here for at short day trip and it was a great experience. A lot of old buildings to see and a nice atmosphere
