Caffè Meletti

This is not just a cafe. It’s an experience. We had drinks and appetizers on the terrace overlooking Piazza del Popolo. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff was friendly and efficient. The drinks were superb and the appetizers were so abundant, there was no room for lunch. Prices were reasonable. Don’t miss this gem!

This cafe specializes in small snack dishes and coffee and bar drinks. A tourist cafe sure but a very good one. Clean bright and pleasant inside and out. Nice staff too. I had the veggie option which was five times as good as I though it would be. It’s buffet style with an astonishing range of vegetable offerings. More than I could reasonably fit on a plate. Not just any old vegetables either. Every dish was meticulously prepared and presented. I felt a little mean disturbing the symmetry of some of the dishes. My coffee was a cracker too. My companions had small bite dishes but they looked a tad small to me. Overall cost was very modest for the quality of the experience. The young man serving us could not have been more pleasant or efficient. He did a terrific job. This is a very nice place. It is run very well. What they do here, they do very well. We liked it so much, we returned for a second time and loved it again. Bravo!

Specialty with their famous crema meletti in coffee or hot chocolate. very nice. recommended.

Very nice location (inside o= outside) to enjoy a coffee, licour, aperitif or cocktail. Ideal place to look at people 😄

Special place in centre of town,elegant and beautiful. All the hot beverages are a delight, the cakes and biscuits are sumptuous. Nice place to celebrate a special occasion or drop in to warm up on a cold evening. Fabulous place to watch the world go by!

Wonderful 30's style Cafe in the Piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno. Quite expensive but lovely coffee and pastries. Make sure you visit the toilets downstairs to see the Roman artefacts ingeniously incorporated into the design. You really can't visit Ascoli without calling in for coffee.

Visited during our stay in Ascoli and what a delight. The Olives Ascolana are a local specialty and something that must be tried as they are delicious! Service was exemplary, prices quite reasonable, and every dish we tried was delicious. Added bonus is they carry the Paoletti soft drinks which are superb. Their house crafted liquers are another trademark item that must be tried. In short - go here, you won't be disappointed.

You must drink the famoes Meletti café when you're in this area of Italië.

If you can only visit one cafe in Ascoli, make it Meletti. Beautiful "liberty" decor inside and great selection of local wines, beer and cocktails. For a place this elegant, the menu is very sensibly priced. A real gem.

Very nice Cafe, with architecture value

Very professional waiting staff, quick, efficient service, and a varied and reasonably priced menu - old-world charm as you sip the local liquor and people watch the square. If visiting Ascoli Piceno, a stop here is a must.

Our waitress Vanessa was super friendly and suggested us plenty of tasty drinks ! Plus the bar is exceptionally elegant and located in the nicest square of the town !

What a great an beatifull Cafe. One of my favorite Cage of the world. A Cafe how it should be. Mamazing Architecture great Cafe and the one and only Meletti. To have aCafe Melletti is a must have. Also the service is grt. It is like to go back to the time of Jugendstil and the time of great artists and poets. Love that place

This is a histiroc site specially if you are interested in movies. Several classical Italian movie masterpieces were shot here including I DELFINI (1960). I am so glad they kept this place intact.

It s the best place to have a coffee in Ascoli. The atmosphere inside is lovely and the service is very good.

We had incredible coffee, waffles and yoghurt at this place. The place is embracing and tastes are unique.
