Such a nice warm place. Hosts are friendly and warm. Location is in the middle of a small township. Their warm and huge living is the highlight. Also foosball and table tennis you can enjoy. In the morning nesty the dog came to say hi to everyone. There are many board games as well and enough warm sitting space.
I would recommend this place 100%. You can sleep on the warm bunker beds.
The price for 4 people was 10,000 ISK.

UPDATE: I understand your answer and I've adjusted the rating. And yes, Iceland is one of the most amazing places I had the privilege to visit.

As a campervan tourist, my experience was like this: this place is also being listed as a winter camping ground on my car rental map (and also listed as open on google maps) so I tried to camp here for the night. The building was closed, so I had to call at the number listed on google maps. After a couple of phone calls, a girl answered and gave me the code to unlock the door. After a while, another employee came and surprised by finding me there told me that they are "normally closed at this time of the year but we can sort this out" and let me camp anyway. A bit confusing and quite honestly, stressful, especially after a long drive and with no other camping grounds nearby. Left me with the impression they're having a lax approach to profesionalism.

Inside there is one toilet and shower per gender and a moderate sized kitchen.

Very nice and friendly staff, and you have free access to a lot of things like kitchen space, and lobby. I loved my stay here and will come back. Thanks to the amazing staff. :)

Warm and welcoming hostel at the end of the earth. The free Friday concert was incredible (8:30p-10) and an arctic tern colony lives right outside the door in summer so there’s always a free natural concert if you leave your windows open. The living room style lounge is a great place to hang out regardless of weather. The bedrooms are fairly well sound-insulated and the other guests are pretty quiet since that’s who the hostel/location seems to attract. The mattresses are comfy and there’s bottomless coffee for a small fee (400kr) as well as a few snacks for sale. You can get pizza and beer in the bar but otherwise you’ll need to go to another town for food. The only downside for me was that there are only 2 bathrooms, however the wait was never longer than 5 minutes.

A fun and engaging hostel. The rooms were simple and comfortable, but the curtains are not black-out and the midnight sun definitely gets in. Not an issue if you have a good sleeping mask, though. Service is incredible and the frozen pizza we ate after arriving was one of the best we’ve had.

We as a family of 4 plus my mother stayed here for our first night in Iceland. We had 2 rooms, one had a shower and toilet and the other did not. We unfortunately arrived on a bank holiday so all shops were closed but we bought pizza and beer at the bar when we arrived and an instant porridge thing as I cant have cheese. We played cards in the lounge area and then slept very well. They have a lovely community ideal and previous guests leave things they may not use and there was a bit of cereal for my children in the morning which was a lifesaver. We stayed in 5 different accommodations in Iceland and this was one of our favourites. The staff were very lovely.
Laki Whale Watching tours was a 5 minute drive.

Fantastic little art hostel with a welcoming atmosphere and chill vibes. There’s a kitchen, warm showers, laundry, and a huge communal area with a theatre, a library, board games, ping pong, and super comfy couches. Rooms are all communal and feature amazing murals by local artists - in fact, there’s awesome art everywhere!

You can also pay for a campervan spot, which comes with full use of the facilities. Unfortunately they don’t have an electrical hookup.

Great cozy and happy place to stay. Big lounge room to meet or hang out with others, small kitchen but it has a washer machine to use for 1500 isk. Kitchen is small. Bring your towel!

The owner offers different entertainment options for your stay.

An absolutely delightful stay. The evening shift host (the blonde guy, sorry forgot the name), played some great live music and was a blast to hang out with. Common area is great for connecting with guests, we all ended up jamming & singing till late. One of the most vivid memories of the trip.

I was only passing through for one night, but it was a quiet and welcoming place to stay. I recommend it to anyone, both families and groups of friends.

One of the best stops in all of Iceland. Warm environment, friendly staff, great place to meet new and interesting people. I could not imagine an Iceland trip without this being in my list of stops.

I've been sleeping here for one night but it was enough to love this place, it's all about the common area which is full of cool stuff and it's a perfect place to chat with other guests.
On the back there are a couple of boats rearranged as houses, the town is small but the area is quite nice.

Great people, clean bathrooms and toilets, well equipped kitchen and lovely space to chill and play board games in the evening. All that for a good price. We slept in our campervan in front of the building in the end of December.

Such a nice place, and very cheap. We had a functional but large 8 people dorm for my family of 8, the common areas are so beautiful that you just want to stay and hang out. Washing machines available.
