They have a replica “turf” longhouse in the style of ancient Vikings. They have excavated 2 old dwellings that likely housed Erik the Red and where Leif Erickson was born. There is a friendly host demonstrating yarn making and other tasks performed by those people.

If you approach from the west, you drive a well-maintained dirt road. Do not drive the dirt road from the east. This was a nice addition to the day we spent learning about Icelandic Sagas.

I gave only 4 stars because it’s over-priced. $20 per person for 15-30 minutes of exploring is pretty steep.
