Dalakot Búðardal

Food, room and breakfast were great but what really stood out was the guy who worked in the restaurant/reception when we arrived. What a guy! Super warm and welcoming, gave us a bit of fermented shark to try and was an absolute delight giving us advice and tips for the road ahead. If you see this - thank you. And say hi to your dog (who unfortunately was not at the hotel) from me!

We visited for the food and found it much better than we thought it might be based on the outside. Food was very yummy, staff was helpful and friendly, and the place has a beautiful view of the ocean. Overall, we were surprised by such a great place in such a small town with more run-down shops around. Also, they have free Wi-Fi with purchase.

Ask for the Pedro!

Unpretentious little café with cordial, expeditious waitstaff and an inviting atmosphere. Our “Pedro” pizza, fries, and halibut were out in no time - all fresh, hot, and tasty. The Pedro was absolutely fabulous, the fries fantastic, and the halibut above-average.

Most definitely the place to stop on your way to the Westfjords.

The staff are extremely friendly here. Rooms and bathrooms were easily the cleanest we saw on our 10-Day trip. Even when we wanted Ice cream in the middle of winter, they gave us a number to a local farmer/creamery. Would recommend anyone staying here…

They made us feel at home. This was our first stay in Iceland, and we were lucky enough to find this cozy guesthouse. Staff was beyond friendly, rooms were clean, food was delicious, prices were good, and the location was awesome. It allowed us to see all Snæfellness and be near the West fjords as well.

There is nothing I would change in this beautiful, elegant, clean and very welcoming property.
Symon, Justyna and the owners of the structure are incredible people, they made me feel part of the family right away, I am truly honored to have met them along the way ❤.
The restaurant is a must try, especially their mega burgers, succulent and ABUNDANT, you will have your belly so full and satisfied.

Búðardalur in general is a little gem to visit, it has everything you need and the people are so friendly, then the panorama of the mountains reflecting in the sea is something so perfect and peaceful to the soul.
It's amazing how a small place can give you so much, it will be hard to forget.

Host was super chatty and lovely with us. She gave us tips and was overall really welcoming. We just came there to have food in the restaurant, food was super tasty too.

Our experience here was wonderful. The property was beautiful, modern and updated and extremely welcoming and comfortable. The staff went over and above our expectations to provide an excellent stay and accommodated our needs which was extremely helpful as we had our young child with us. They were friendly, caring and extremely accommodating and we will 100% stay again. We are so grateful to have had such a great experience 🙂.

We enjoyed our stay at Dalakot. Shared bathrooms but they were nice. Comfortable bed and working sink in the bedroom. Breakfast was nice--they had normal continental stuff like bread, meat, jams, and cheese, but the hosts also offered to fry us eggs (which were delicious). Furthermore, the hosts were very kind and friendly. Definitely recommend

Without going into details, staff was extremely nice and made our stay better then expected. Food was great too, especially lamb chops

Great place to eat dinner, sleep and have breakfast! Everything was great, the only small inconvenience was that the two shared showers are not enough when the place is fully booked.

Super good. The people or very nice, the house very clean and the location beautifull. We where a to late at location and they where not there anymore. We called them and they came specially for us back and they give us also free breakfast for the problems. That is super service.

The staff is great the rooms are super cozy.
Recommended... And if you want to eat the food is delicious. I will be back for sure.
