This campsite is very functional for RV camping. Kitchen may be a little small for tent camping. The bathhouse is great with hot water and showers included. Pay extra for washer and dryer. Good dish cleaning sinks. 2 showers, 2 toilets plus handicap restroom. 24 electric hook-ups for RVs. If you park down by the bath house there are planted shrub lines for wind cover and privacy. Trash and compost and recycling. You can call ahead but you can't reserve. The owner comes around in evening to collect payment. She does take credit cards as well as cash. Nice and clean. I loved the turf on top of the bath house!

Nice little camping ground with everything you need. Clean showers and toilets. A little community room with a heater and a small hob so you can cook. Also some utensils for cooking available. Very nice lady who works there as well. We stayed one night and will be back for our last night as well. The campground is right at the main road so its easily accessible.

Found the last spot for a motor home - very small site but has all the necessities. Laundry, electric hookups, water refill, showers. Owned by the city and managed by a really nice woman who has lived in the area a long time. Not much in town but a gas station. It’s 5 stars on its own - not fair to compare it to other sites as this one is just meant to be basic and clean - that’s all. Other sites are larger, more scenic - but that’s not what this is

We were there in April.
It is a little and quite campsite.
You can not book online, there is a lady ( she is very friendly) who goes at morning and at night to receive the payment (1500 ISK per person). You can pay with credit card and also in cash. Shower is included.
It has a little dinning room with a tiny electric stove.

This campsite provided a comfortable and convenient stay. The parking lot for van/campers (at least in the winter) was a bit small. There were 4 total vans and if there were any more it would have felt like we were on top of each other. The facilities were definitely a highlight of this campground. There were toilet stalls and separate shower stalls (free). The water was hot and so refreshing after a day of hiking. There are outdoor sinks, and a small common room with tables and limited cooking equipment (hot plate). Payment was collected via credit/debit card by a person who walked by our campsite around 9:30pm (she might have come earlier too, but we got in kind of late).

Good Campsite also open during Winter. Clean facilities. There is a Frisbee Golf course next to the Campsite and a Grocery Store in walking distance. Owned by a nice Lady.

Small and simple, but had plenty of amenities. Dish washing station, showers, bathrooms, and little kitchen room, all very clean! Very quiet and peaceful as it is also in a small town and someone comes by to take payment at night.

A nice little campground close to the road, not far from a gas station, supermarket and restaurant and equally close to a stunning view during sunset.

The campground is well equipped: good toilets & showers, a common room to warm up in and a small kitchen with a hob and even a washing machine and dryer!

Lovely little campsite, facilities are good and clean. The owners were lovely and on the ball even out of season, within minutes of us arriving someone was there to open up the shower and make sure everything was in order. We stayed 2 nights because it was so good the first. Can be a bit of a struggle to get up the hill after snowfall but we managed it. 1500kr pppn.

No complaints here. Quiet, not very busy, and the lady who collect your money in the morning is super friendly. 1500 ISK Which includes showers, two sinks to do dishes, not necessarily a kitchen, plenty of space to move around, and right in town so you have everything walking distance away. Seems like a steel compared to some other campsites. Could easily stay here again.

People, stop complaining and start cleaning after yourself!!! I don’t know who was this left it in the shower room, but this is so disgusting!!! I stayed there the night of Sep 26th. A lot of people complained this camp ground needs to be cleaned more often, no, you guys need to clean after yourselves!!! It only costs 23 bucks to stay here overnight, free shower, hot water, warm bathroom, and there’s a hose you can wash your car, I am so grateful! I’m from the States, there’s no shower at most of the camping sites, no hot water, no kitchen, all you have is the nature, if you don’t like it, then stop being cheap, get a hotel room, there’s spotless bathroom, great service, and maybe free breakfast! This is Iceland, just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous country before you start complaining!

Motorbike traveler... very nice camp with everything you need - trees and bushes to protect your tent against wind, clean toiletes and showers, kitchen and sink. A nice lafy with a dog collects CASH ONLY at around 9:15pm

Had everything what we needed. Toilets, showers, place to wash the dishes, place to sit down and warm ourselves and cook inside (on our gas stove). It is small campside. You can pay by card or cash. Very friendly owner :)

best campsite on our trip

We had a wonderful stay Camping Dalakot. The toilets and the two showers are really clean. We paid 1500ISK per person and unlimited showering was included. The area is really green and you have a wonderful view since it is close to the ocean.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming.
It doesn’t matter at what time you arrive, because someone will come in the evening and in the morning as well to charge you.
There is a playground nearby if you travel with kids.

And it is definitely an amazing place to spot the best sunrises/sunsets.

Easy to find, nice clean bathrooms, outdoor kitchen area to wash dishes, clean hot showers with heated floors and owner was very nice! Showers are included in the price, you get a shower ticket (scanner inside shower) when you pay for camping. Owner said showers are 6 minutes, but I think it was more like 8 minutes. I bought an extra ticket just incase. Nice gas station and restaurant are across the street, but were closed on Sunday.

A convenient, quiet campsite on the way to the Westfjords. The facilities were clean and a free hot shower (with the nightly camping fee) was much appreciated. The campsite owner/manager Caroline was really lovely, and lent us a set of disc golf frisbees to play on the adjacent disc golf course - with a view of the water and mountains nonetheless. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed here in our campervan at the end of March 2018. The site is clean with many spots for campers or tents. The bathrooms were warm andworking with running water and clean toilets that are restocked often. Around 9pm a young man came by to accept the 1500ISK per person payment for staying at the campground. He accepts card which is great!

With the 1500ISK payment you get a shower card for a 7-minute shower, which is plenty! The water is hot and we loved it. The parking lot for campers backs up to a school of some sort, and next to it you have a nice view of the bay and sunset. There’s a grocery store/gas station across the street.

The only con is that there is a small kitchen area with sinks that were shut off due to it being winter/early spring. The water in the bathrooms works though.

Overall it was a great campsite!

So glad we drove to this campsite because the big bushes really helped protect us from the crazy winds. Facilities are nice and clean and include outlets for electric campers, hot shower, toilets, sinks, washing machine, and a stove top. They come to collect payment (1500isk per adult) at night to put a sticker on your car, but the weather was horrible and rainy at night, so they came to us in the morning. There is a also a hotel and restaurant located on site as well.

Camped here August 20, 2021. Has kitchen sinks, toilets and showers and little dining area. Parking was in a circular area with bushes to block wind and for privacy. Located by a body of water (which I didn't go explore), gas station, and a few stores.

Good, clean campingsite. 2 camping spaces separating campers and cars/tents. Between bushes which provide some windprotection. Warm water, 2 showers, 2 toiletts, common room(container), 1 disabled toilett and a laundry room. 1500 per person. 500isk for washing machine.
