Beautiful and the only brown beach in the region. Take a sandwich or some wine (not if you’re driving) and sit on a bench by the beach and enjoy the waves

Pretty beach, golden sand and Arctic birds when I was there. A Viking grave was found here.

Parkování zdarma, bez dalšího vybavení. Všude kolem lávová pole, pro turistu extrémně zvláštní krajina. Příjezdová cesta je ve špatném stavu a není zpevněná - vozidlo 4x4 s vyšší světlou výškou asi povinné není, ale je velmi doporučeno.

This roadside parking not too big, can accommodate about 6 cars. Paved road stops here, the onwards journey is bumpy gravel road. No facility, just a picnic table where you can enjoy the view. Relaxing walk to the small beach, this is one of the few rare golden beaches in Iceland.
