beds are very comfortable, and the rooms were spotless.
hotel has a very cool retro vibe to it, cozy bar, and a larger restaurant area with extremely good food available.
breakfast wasn't available in the morning since we were the only guests during a low season, but we were directed by the staff to a great bakery that was within short walking distance of the hotel.

We loved the guesthouse! Staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was exceptional and the dinner delicious! Liked the hot tub and the bikes, although we didn’t ride. A great stay in a precious town.
Thank you!

Considering the place overall it gives you a pleasant stay. It’s not a hotel but more like a travellers home. The rooms are clean and the pillows and blankets are very comfotable and thick. There’s a sauna and fine showers to get rid of mud and sweat. Could not wish more.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this accommodation. The service was very pleasant and we rounded off the evening with their homemade beer and a 3-course meal. I can only recommend.

I finally was able to book a reservation for hotel and restaurant. Neither disappointed. The room has a stylish small sink equipped with a water glass, washcloth, hand towel and bathtowel. Single bed for me, very clean pillowcases and sheets, nice comforter and large window that the top opens for air. A desk and chair in the room The shared bathroom was clean, European size shower. The doors on both the room and bathroom has serious locks. Doors are heavy so be mindful, as the closing could be loud. The room supplied earplugs under the little drawer next to bed. I arranged my bed so I could look at the mountain as I fell asleep and woke up. Another bonus.
The hotel-decorated in old style but very tastefully curated and arranged furniture. In the dining room are four outstanding repurposed wooden pieces by local artist, Aðalheiður S. Eysteinsdottir. She has an exhibition at HOF in Akureyri.
The staff. Very congenial, lovely people who takes their job seriously. Service excellent. The 2nd chef was convinced to leave Morocco by either the owner or the first chef, as she was the top chef in Morocco. A chef's chef.
The dinner: lamb tangine. The smell alone will seduce you. Wherever the cinnamon comes from, it is lightly used and properly incorporated into the dish. IMHO you must combine the couscous in with the lamb. Why waste the delicious juices? Soup comes first, I am told its traditional Moroccan, but I didn't understand it. I ordered the number 2 bottle of red wine on the list. Its was dry and perfect.
Yes, I will be back for the fish tagine next.

Very artsy. Loved the decor in the public rooms, bedroom for 4 was excellent and the hot tub was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was a little lacking. The young lady that checked us in was very helpful. Wishing you all peace and prosperity!

A very nice hotel. Clean, cozy and nice furnishings. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You should mark the location of the hotel better though, it needs a sign outdoor that says “Hotel Siglunes”, so that people can find it more easily.

We had a great stay at Siglunes Hotel! The staff were friendly and welcoming and our room was very cozy and comfortable. We stayed on a Monday, when the restaurant was closed, and the hotel was very quiet. We enjoyed sitting and sipping some tea in the cozy library space near the lobby. We included breakfast with our reservation and received a voucher to go around the corner to the local bakery, which was very fun!

The best hotel in town. The staff are very friendly. The location is amazing. Please book a table in the restaurant of the hotel, very good food.

There is a very comfortable lounge area with a [gas] fireplace that adds some atmosphere. There is also a nice library room adjacent to the lounge.
We had a room that has a shared bathroom and were happy to find that our room had a sink in it. The shared bathroom was fine and clean and was always available. The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable.
One negative is there is no coffee or tea in the rooms (in the private bath rooms also) which is okay for much of the day but it’s located in the restaurant so I don’t think you can access it when the restaurant is open. They have a lot of nice varieties of tea.
The restaurant’s Moroccan restaurant has very good reviews, but when I tried to make a reservation four days in advance only the 20:30 time was available. So reserve very early if like us you don’t want to dine that late.
The owner said that in the off season the breakfast they offer is being handled by the nearby bakery. We instead went to Turgid Restaurant for their excellent lunch buffet that starts at noon. It was delicious and had nice options [ISK 2.390 and well worth it].

This is without a doubt one of the best restaurant I have eaten at in Iceland for many years. They fulfill all that I expect in terms of different herbs and spices in their Morocco cuisine. I recommend for everybody that visit Siglufjordur to stop by and have that experience that I got with my wife and good friends. 5 out of 5, no question asked.

Really nice hotel. We were there a little before peak season, and they upgraded us from our booked "shared bathroom" to a bathroom of our own, with no charge. They have a nice bar, game room, and reading room, which I imagine is pretty fun when there are more people sharing the hotel. Very unique rooms, and modern, purchaseable art on the wall. Highly recommended!

That was excellent ! The restaurant is calm and the cooking style amazing. The tajines are very tasty. If you stay for 1 night you will have to eat here...

There is many nice places, and then some are awesome. Siglunes is one of those. When you enter, you will have many "wow-moments". The interiors are astonishing and show many nice vintages pieces. They have a great bar and many cozy corners to have a beer or a glass of wine. The mostly morrocan food is very delicious (a must for Tajine fans!). The breakfast is also very good and varied. The staff is great, very friendly and offers a good service, even when the place is busy. The rooms are not very big, but clean. Big recommendation!

Charming guest hose. Clean, cosy and comfortable. The food was top class - the Icelandic lamb Moroccan stile was amazing - tender and tasty👌

The room is very nice and a pleasure to stay in, but one star off for the windows being useless against noise from the street and the walls against noise from the hallways.
