Stóra-Vatnshorn

We did 10 days Roadtrip and this is by far the best accomodation we had in whole Iceland.
Wooden cabin, in the middle of the mountains, kitchen, clean, quick check in. There is a bit f-road to come here.

We stayed in a cozy cabin, fully equipped and super clean with wonderfull views. The place is really quiet to relax away from touristic places but also well located for visiting the nearby area. A little sad that we were only staying for one night. We definitely recommend staying here. Hope to come back in the future.

If you want to visit kirkjufell and neraby spots it's good located.
The cottage is good, have space inside, and kitchen have all that you need.
It's a really quite place.

The cabin we had was very nice; bright, new, well-furnished, and very homey. One of the best experiences in Iceland for us.

My family had a great stay at the Stóra-Vatnshorn house. We loved being so close to history - Eiríksstaðir, the home of Erik the Red, is 500 meters away. The valley the house is in is beautiful, and from all rooms you have great views of the surrounding mountains, lake, and valley.

Stóra-Vatnshorn is a great value for your money. We really enjoyed having a gas grill and made use of it. We also liked that we had plenty of room!

Excellent value for money for this place, really isolated and calm. Bungalows are very well equipped, warm and clean. Perfect getaway.

Very cozy and clean cabin, with all kinds of facilities.
A bit bumpy and rocky road, but totally worth it.

L'alloggio migliore del viaggio. 4 spaziosissime baite allineate verso la valle, tutti i comfort (cucina con pentole e stoviglie, bagno spazioso + lavatrice). L'unico difetto è la location che per quanto magica è abbastanza lontana da posti degli di nota. Noi l'abbiamo usata come appoggio per girare la Snæfellsnes.
La nostra baita pendeva impercettibilmente da un lato :)

יש במקום חמישה צריפים. בכל צריף יש ציוד מלא כולל מטבח ומכונת כביסה. יש חדר שינה עם מיטה נוחה ועוד ספה נפתחת בסלון. פינת אוכל ובאמת הכל. מפתח מקבלים ומחזירים בבית שבהמשך השביל

Cottage molto carino e pulito. Ragazzo della reception molto gentile. Nonostante fossimo arrivati tardi ci ha fornito molte informazioni sul luogo. Consigliatissimo

Wahou, au calme, douillet, bien équipé nous avons adoré! La remise des clefs se fait dans la ferme juste à quelques mètres après.

4 chalets confortables bien chauffés bien équipés.. 7 kms pour y accéder depuis la route principale, lieu très perdu sans grand intérêt touristique mais agréable..les propriétaires sont arrangeant et sympa

Wunderschön und idyllisch gelegen. Das Holzhäuschen sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr sauber. Ein Bett in den man wundervoll liegt. Der Ausblick und die Ruhe sehr sehr schön. Die Dusche im Nebenhaus auch sehr sauber und schön.

Sehr schöne ruhige Hütten ☺ alles da was man so brauch!
