I LOVED IT! The tour was absolutely stunning, the views were gorgeous, the horses very friendly and the tour leader so nice! She knew a lot about the surroundings and had many stories to tell! I absolutely recommend it and would go back every time!
6 out of 5 stars!

Best possible icelandic horse experience in Iceland! I went on a beach ride with my boyfriend at Dalahestar. Caroline chose a wonderful route along the river, meadows and the incredible wide black sand beach. Even though my boyfriend is a beginner and I'm an experienced rider, we both had a wonderful time. He always felt safe and I even got some chances to go faster at the beach and some meadows. The horses were lovely, motivated and in great condition. I can recommend from the bottom of my heart!

Best experience riding in Iceland 🇮🇸 Beach riding through the water and then through the terrain of the hills. The horses were lively and incredibly agile through it all. Saw seals taunting a white tailed eagle off the shore! Great family operation with of course the most friendly and hospitable people.

Such a lovely experience I had today! I have to write it down, because it’s better that 1000 therapy sessions!!! This is amazing point to ride the horses with super cool owner - Caroline, you can immediately see that it’s her hobby and how much they care of the horses and give them a lot of love! she will make you feel comfortable and safe on the horse! It’s was first experience riding the horse in my life and I was a lit bit scared, but when you start to feel you are in good hands all fear are gone! I’m enjoyed a lot even it was rainy today, but emotions what you received covered todo!

Best thing we did in Iceland. Caroline is legit the best. She’s such a good conversationalist and very funny. We were three silly girls and she kept us in line! Yeehaw

Wonderful experience with Caroline! The ride was beautiful and the horses were super well-behaved and well-trained.

We did a 2-hour ride to the beach by the ocean and then we galloped back to the stables. It was my friend's first time on a horse and he was still very comfortable galloping because the horses were so sweet-tempered. Very beginner friendly

It was a perfect tour! The owner Carolin was so kind and made the trip to an unforgettable experience! We enjoyed the riding tour in a beautiful scenery on well educated horses and had the most amazing time. Definitely a must-do and biggest recommendation! Thank you so much for one of our favourite Iceland-memories!

Caroline cares for her horses and she is a very nice and kind person.

The area is very nice to ride in and she tries to do her best to satisfy the rider for their horse experience and also looks after the well being of the horses while riding.

I would like to recommend her place to everyone who would like a Iceland horse riding experience

We had a wonderful experience renting horses with Dalahestar. It was very private with just my boyfriend and I with our tour guide Carolyn. Carolyn let us give input on where we wanted to ride. She knew a lot about the land and area. Her horses are well taken care of and we enjoyed spending time at her stables too.

Exceptional experience!

We stayed in Iceland for 10 days and this was really a highlight to round up our holidays! All of us had an absolute blast! We were two experienced riders (adults) and one beginner (12 yo). The horses Carolin and Juliane picked for us were all just perfect matches!
We started by getting to know the horses and riding slowly towards the beach area. Then we crossed a river and took advantage of having two guides with us - we got the opportunity to split up for a couple minutes so those of us who wanted to could go full speed while the others went a bit slower. Later we rode along the beach and enjoyed the breathtaking view of our surroundings. It was just magical!
Horses were lovely, beach was lovely and Carolin and Juliane really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable in the cold!
We would definitely recommend going on a trip with them!!

Plus: We have horses ourselves so we wanted to make sure we did not support any bad establishments where horses are not being treated well, which is why we chose this place! Healthy and happy horses here!

Fantastic! The horses are great, the scenery is amazing, the tour guide knowledgable and has a great personality. I would choose this over doing anything in Iceland. You get a little touch of everything. Also, my husband is a beginner and I am more of intermediate rider, she tailored to both of us. It was a moving experience. Thanks again!

Riding with Carolin was absolutely a highlight of my trip to Iceland and probably the best ride I've ever done. We got to grab our horses and tack them which I loved. Carolin is super interesting and a great teacher. Her horses are amazingly well trained and cared for and it really shows. Most trail horses take quite a bit to get going, but these horses were super sensitive it was so fun. I felt like I learned so much about Icelandic horses. My boyfriend had little experience, but she was great in getting us all to tolt and canter. If you are considering going here, do it. Also was a great price.

Stunning place to ride, over the hills and down the black sand beach, and a lovely small business! We had people of varying experience in our group and those of us who were newbies got very kind and sweet horses to ride. The guide and owner Caroline was amazing and clearly cared for her horses very much. Also thank you so much Caroline for telling us a bit about the hiking spots in the area!

Experience was great! We got to ride near the beach. Horses were well trained and owner let us gallop across one of the fields when we felt confident to do so! Would recommend if your looking for a fun horse ride!

Going riding on a sunny day with Carolin as our guide, and some wonderfully kind horses was an experience of a lifetime. We could not have asked for a better introduction to horseback riding and the Icelandic horses. We will definitely return, this was truly outstanding and is highly recommended!

Amazing experience and stunning views with our kids!

We called Caroline with just a few hours time, for an evening tour, she totally adapted to our schedule and this allowed us to get some amazing views of the fjord with a setting sun!

The horses were really calm and well trained for children to enjoy, both our 7 and 9 kids had a lot of fun, they started with Caroline guiding the horse but ended riding on their own! I myself had my horse running a liiitle bit faster, quite thrilling actually!

We even shared a hot chocolate after the tour and had some talking time with her.

The campsite nearby is just a couple of minutes away. This all makes the combination of both, a perfect plan before starting a sneffels peninsula tour!

Such a great experience! It was possible to have a spontaneous appointment just one day later. We were a small group of five and Carolin adapted to each of us individually. You could tell that she really wanted everyone to feel safe and comfortable. As I have riding experience on Icelandic horses she even allowed me to use the riding ring for "Tölt" on my own. The horses were great and well taken care of. We booked the one hour tour but including preparing the horses we were busy for about two hours. One of my highlights in Iceland for sure!

Amazing experience! Carolin did a great job of showing us how to ride a horse, guiding us to tack and saddle the horses and was lovely to talk to. The area we rode on was absolutely beautiful and Carolin also showed us all of the various gaits of the Icelandic horses. She is a very experienced rider and stable master, would definitely recommend stopping by to meet Carolin and her horses.

The experience was good even for someone who has never been on an horse.
They even got us to brush and saddle the horses
The guide was friendly and helpful.
Excellent price for the value.

Recommended, I would choose it again.
