Lónkot Rural Resort

Stunning location & great staff!
We stayed at Lónkot 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is one of a kind, with a beautiful view of Drangey and the sea. Our room had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy. We also dined at the restaurant and very much enjoyed how they used local produce. They even have their own hot pool which is just what you need after a day of sightseeing!
The best however was the friendly and attentive staff that helped us with any request we had.

Lónkot was hands down our favorite hotel of our week in Iceland. The owners were so friendly and helpful, the room was great, a king size bed in Iceland. It is not fancy, it is rural. There was one other family, who had been fishing that day, and the chef cooked them the fish they caught for their dinner and they even offered some to us if we wanted. Not your normal, sterile Euro-style hotel. Would not visit Iceland again without returning here! Hofsós public pool is just down the road as well.

A superb view on the sea and the little island just in the front of the hotel. All around behind the hotel you can see the mountains. The room was perfect. There is also a hot bathroom outside ! Very pleasant and confortable... I definitly recommend the place. Ps : there is a restaurant with iceland prices (count 4200 isk for your main dish)

We had a wonderful stay here. Julia was a great host and took very good care of us. I can not think of many places that I have been to as peaceful and with such natural beauty as we experienced here. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Julia!

Small and friendly place close to the sea with a nice view. We got a tasty breakfest before leaving. Happy with the stay! :)

Very very great

Comodissimo, bellissimo, affacciato sullo splendido fiordo Skagafjordur, comodissimo sia per chi visita la penisola Trollaskagi, sia per chi sta facendo il giro della strada 1 e vuole fare una piccola deviazione in un luogo fantastico. La camera molto bella, affacciata sul fiordo, comoda e pulita. Comodo anche l'hot pot in cui poter fare il bagno caldo a ogni ora del giorno e della notte. Si mangia molto bene (anche se i prezzi sono alti, in linea con tutta l'Islanda) al ristorante della struttura. Una menzione particolare per la gentilissima e bravissima cameriera (purtroppo non ricordo il nome) che ci ha servito e coccolato durante la nostra permanenza, fermandosi a parlare, dandoci consigli, permettendoci di fare il checkout in ritardo rispetto al previsto. Un paio di note: per arrivarci meglio la strada 76 partendo da sud; la strada 82 che fa il giro della penisola è sterrata. Colazione molto buona ma con poche pietanze rispetto alla media islandese.
