Delgosha Garden

Delgosha means heart opener 💐 such a cool name for a beautiful garden and treditional villa, don’t miss this garden if you visit Iran specially in March/April/May when the orange blossom are on the trees, absolutely lovely

In Safavid dynasty, Delgosha Garden was one of the most famous gardens in Shiraz. Some of the buildings in this garden were constructed in Qajar dynasty. Most of the trees in this 7.5 hectare garden are citrus such as Orange and sour orange. The main building which has three stories with two entrances in two sides and a porch in the middle floor with a view of pool is a sign of glorious days. The Sa’di’s Tomb Canal is passing through this garden.

Delgosha Garden was at the peak of prosperity during the reign of Timur Gurkhani, so much so that it is said that after seeing it, Timur built a garden of the same name in Samarkand. This garden was also very famous in the Safavid period, so that in the writings and paintings left by European tourists at that time, the name of the garden is often mentioned.

The building was grate and beautiful too.3 floor museum.first one is for old coins dresse and painting second one is just some old photos of Shiraz and it's people and third floor is for radio , it had grate view too.

Worth a visit ! It's cheaper than the other gardens but better !!!

One of many beautiful gardens in Shiraz. This garden is near Saadi Tomb. There's a nice little museum inside. The main building has been under restoration for quite some time now.

You should visit every single garden of Shiraz bcz they each have their own special details ❤ and for sure the delgosha garden is one of the best ❤

You must know usually every school in Shiraz takes its students to Delgosha every year (maybe twice at a year!). So every Shirazi kids had been taken to this garden dozens of times from elementary to high school! funny...
Delgosha means bracing.

This a place that I enjoyed in Shiraz. So beautiful architect vith a great view to a huge yard. Also tgere is small antique museum inside.

a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and trees, the is a building in centre of garden that doors was closed and we couldn't see the inside, there is a beautiful white metallic stagecoach inside the garden that you can take pics with it

If you are visiting Iran , shiraz is one of the major tourist cities and in Shiraz Delgosha garden is a must see .
In spring this garden turns to be a part of the paradise . 👍🏻

Make sure you visit the place before weekends when you really can feel the place

it is a nice garden and is very much worth a visit! particularly early fall or late winter
