Vakil Bazaar was full of surprises for me. In every corner there was a mystery waiting to be unfold. Shops were full of colors with nice people. Architecture is fascinating and there are a lot to explore. You can talk with old people and hear their wonderful stories about the Bazaar. It is one of those places that you simply should not stop yourself from going if you are visiting Shiraz. By the way Bazaar is closed in fridays.

I would suggest this is one of the most beautiful and interesting Bazaars in Iran. Not as big as the ones in Tehran and Tabriz. But many cute stuff and delicate collections that you could only find them together here.

Old traditional market dating hundreds of years. Every tourist need to see this Bazaar, where you can find all sort of goods such as carpets, clothes, hand made crafts, spices etc.
Outside there are historic religious madressas (schools), restaurants and coffee shops serving hot and cold drinks in addition to traditional ice cream and Falouda, which is Shiraz famous for

Amazing old bazaar of Shiraz known as Vakil bazaar after Vakilol Roaya (Karim Khan). It is too long with many attractions. Do not miss Saraye Moshir

It's one of the most stunning historical bazaars which is still super active and vibrant. It is immaculate. You can find different kinds of local handcrafts such as hand woven rugs, copper decorations, silver jewelry, termeh, and so on. This year (2022), what added to its glamour was that you could see some Iranian women do not wear the mandatory hijab or head coverings in spite of the regime's dictatorial rules. Hope that very soon Iranians experience the true taste of freedom.

Unforgettable stay at Iranmehr Boutique Hotel in Shiraz
We arrived at 2 AM in the morning, had to walk through narrow alley to get to this boutique hotel, felt like back in time, 13 century guest house, Qajar architecture. Memorable stay in this lovely hotel with round the clock attentive and respectful personnel, including dear Aida. We stayed there for 4 nights.
Beautiful ambience, located very close to historical places. Lovely traditional Persian architecture in the middle of Bazar.

In this part of town you can find many artisans selling their traditional handicrafts. Many different local made copper , carvings, figurines, jewelry, etc. Great place to shop. It's also the oldest - and luckily most intact - part of town. A very lively place, busy and colorful.

Bazar Vakil and Saraye Moshir which is located inside the former, are among the most beautiful and historic bazars of Iran. There is a small cafe in the middle of the bazar which is magical, make it your mission to find it!

You cannot not spend hours and hours together in this buzzing market selling everything from itr to clothings, furnishings, tea, herbs, nuts, jewellery, carpets, copper samovars among other decorative items... the list is endless. Shirazi ice-cream stalls can't be ignored and how can you not see the famous Vakil mosque which is at the Western entrance of this bazaar. This holy shrine was was built during the Zand dynasty.
Most sellers accept Rials/Tumans, dollars are also accepted at big shops.
