Mittal Tea Stores

Mittal Tea offers an exceptional blend of heritage and modern-day tea. I recently visited their store and was impressed by its aesthetic appeal. Their masala chai is hands down one of the best I've tried. I'm absolutely in love with it! Aside from the masala chai, I highly recommend trying their winter wine tea. I purchased it for a friend and they loved it too. Overall, Mittal Tea provides a delightful tea experience that you don't want to miss out on!

Loved the sampling of the teas. We tried up to 6 different teas and came out with more than expected. It was a great experience and the gentleman spoke great English and was very hospitable.

I was in India for a wedding, and the groom's/my friend's Dad recommended this tea shop, stating it was the best tea in all of Dehli. The store itself is tucked away in the New Dehli building near a ramp to an underground parking structure, so it was a bit difficult to find at first; however, once inside, we were greeted by the shopkeeper (Mr. S, I apologize but I forgot his name) who let us try a variety of teas from his personal favorite Darjeeling tea to a seasonal Santa's evening blend in addition to a myriad of flavored teas as well.

Unfortunately, for health reasons, I couldn't consume any of the caffeinated options; however, my friends loved his Masala Chai blend, Earl Grey, Assam, and Mango-flavored teas. In addition, Mr. S was very accommodating and showed me some his non-caffeinated/tea alternatives/herbal teas. I tried both his pure chamomile and Stress Shrinker blend, and I immediately fell in love with the latter. The hints of spearmint and lavender accentuated the already mild floral tones of chamomile and I could already feel my stress shrinking away, haha. All of his blends are made in-house, and you can immediately tell he's an expert of his craft. A meticulous man, aside from providing instructions on how to brew each type of tea, he took out a specialized 3-piece hourglass, each calibrated to each tea's brewing time (i.e., 3-5 minutes). He's humble in that he allows each tea to speak for itself, and we never felt pressured even once to buy any of the teas, unlike the plethora of "jade room"/tourist traps where you're trapped in a room with a bunch of salespeople pressuring you to buy their goods at the end of a tour. (Side note: After I wrote this review, I realized his shop also supplies the tea at The Imperial hotel, which is one of the most luxurious, historical hotels in all of Dehli. He never mentioned this once during our visit! Such a humble man!).

All in all, my friends and each got approximately 50g of our favorite teas and I got 100g of his Stress Shrinker blend.

I highly recommend taking a quick stop to check out this shop if you're ever in New Dehli! It's a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city.

- Shop is a bit small (Party of 7 felt a bit cramped/cozy inside)
- Hard to find if you don't know where to look

I'd still rate 5/5 stars because none of the cons took away from the teas and experience itself. If I were ever in the area, I would definitely visit again!

First class teas and service. Great for gifts if you are visiting Delhi, but remember to pick up some for yourself too.

We discovered this shop due to advice of local guide. But we actually forgot to ask at which time it opens, so we arrived to this place too early. Me and my friend were waiting for 2 o'clock to get into shop. But I can surely say that waiting was worth all the experience we got from a visit.

Huge variety of really good tea with a good price is what you can surely find here. You can also ask to taste any kind of tea you want. But mostly I want to appreciate brilliant shop staff and especially shop owner. If you get a chance to visit this place, spend some time and talk to him. I think he can tell you almost everything about tea. From specific location particular kind of tea came from to physical explanation of tea-making process. It was a great pleasure to visit this place.

This tea shop is unique in the world. They source, select and package the finest Indian teas, and sell at reasonable prices (especially when you consider the price for each cup of tea made). It is the only source of orthodox Assam tea that I trust. They deliver without problems to where you are. I have been a customer for 15 good years. In this bothered world, take time for tea - Mittal Teas. You will not regret it. One last point: I rarely write reviews, but this business deserves it. Long may they last!

One of the finest collection of teas, Mittal Teas over the years boasts of high quality refined tea. Their collection of teas will leave you awestruck and wanting more. That's not even the best part, their customization and going that extra mile to add a personal touch and take care of each one of their clients individually is what takes me back to them and makes me one of their loyal customers. A Very dependable place. You can buy every kind of tea here with your eyes closed and you will still never regret about the quality of what you carry with you from here. Tea lovers have been visiting the place for generations. I was very moved today to see a Japanese gentleman making the shop owner video chat with his father in Japan who used to be a regular customer at the store more than fifteen years ago. I have myself been visiting the place for more than two decades now.

We were referred to Mittal stores tea shop by our hotel, as a good place to taste the best teas from around the world. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Apparently he is the one supplying tea to most of the high end hotels in Delhi and teaches hotel staff about teas. Great experience for tea lovers and a good place to purchase good quality teas.
