The memorial to the cremation of Mahatma Gandhi. In the centre of a large park close to where he was assassinated. The memorial is simple and open. It is moving and thoughtful. There is a raised walkway with beautiful flowers all around.

A must place to visit, when you visit Delhi. The place is well maintained with elaborate lawns and gardens. Parking is also available. Footware has to be removed . Open racks are available for storing your Footware. The place is usually not crowded during weekdays. But sometimes schools come in groups.

you are a family and thinking for a different spot to discover, choose RAJ GHAT. It being the memorial thiIn delhi there is many place to visit like Amar joyti, jantar mantar, akashardham, rashtapati bahvan, raj ghat, indira memorial and many more.

Raj ghat is memorical of national father mohandas karmchand gandhi. This is wonderful place where is many tourist and national leaders come to tribute mahatma gandhi.

This place has green garden and many green trees and small and big plants. This place is on main road in dalhi and everyone see this place. I like this place and I also tribute to mahatama gandhi. This place has IGNOU study centre and many student and learners come and tribute to mahatma gandhi. I suggest and recommended this place.

ng of Mahatma Gandhi has its significance. Go there you’ll find peace.

Just before the Amar jyoti, you’ll have to remove your shoes and enter the section of amar jyoti and the main spot.

Just above it is a huge garden, where you can sit and enjoy with your family, specially kids.

Thus, it is a combination of religious and fun spot.

The Rajghat at Delhi is the mausoleum made by the Government of India in the honour of the grat freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi.
It has the following features:

Raj Ghat is a memorial complex in Delhi, India, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The initial memorial, marking the spot of his cremation on January 31, 1948, consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame at one end. Situated on Delhi's Ring Road, officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road, a stone footpath leads to the walled enclosure that houses the memorial. Over time, the complex expanded to include memorials for other prominent figures, such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Charan Singh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and others.

We visited early in the morning around 6 AM, taking a walk to the upper deck where shoes are allowed. The lower deck requires us to remove our shoes to walk towards the center of the field where the cremation spot is located. It's a peaceful place with many squirrels spotted. A visit of 30 minutes to an hour is sufficient. Security prohibits bringing food items like chips and cold drinks into the neat and clean area. Inside the premises, you'll hear songs like 'Hey Ram.' There are toilet facilities and wheelchair accessibility. We recommend visiting in the morning for a peaceful walk and to capture the scenic views through our lenses. Later, we headed to Sarvana Bhawan on Janpath around 8 AM for breakfast (Sarvana Bhawan opens at 8 AM)."

Rajghat is the place if you like Gandhiji and want to know more. It's a beautiful place in the memory of Gandhiji and is a must go place for all age groups.
Some of the useful things I would like to share are :

1. Parking space is there, so there is no issue on that.

2. There is no ticket fee. Everything is free. And well managed.

3. You may not be able to visit Gandhi samadhi everytime you go to Rajghat because burocrats and leaders all over the world keep visiting this place and hence, the samadhi area is kept closed for their exclusive visits often. However, if you have visited rajghat on any such day, no worries, as there are other places in Rajghat for your quality time.

4. There is a desicated museum describing Gandhiji's life in great detail. Any curious mind will be delighted to have so much information with such ease.

5. Some other small museums are there belonging to some historical significance.

6. There is an area dedicated for the swachchhata mission, and the 360-degree film is a delight to watch, with the rotatable seats and infotainment co tent. A must watch.

7. Some eatouts are outside the museum and are Ok to have. Not so many or very good options, though.

Enjoy!!!!

Raj Ghat, the serene memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, stands as a poignant testament to the father of the nation. Nestled on the banks of the Yamuna River in Delhi, this sacred site exudes an aura of tranquility, inviting visitors to reflect on the life and principles of the iconic leader. The simplicity of Raj Ghat's design mirrors Gandhi's philosophy of minimalism and humility. On a foggy, cold afternoon only the father of the nation could provide the clarity and warmth to live ethically and with kindness.
It is not a place, it is an experience.
