Saat tal is one of the four major lake valleys in Kumaon hills of the Uttarakhand.
The other three being - Nainital, Bhimtal and Naukuchia tal.

Saat tal is surrounded with hills rich in limestone. Till around mid 1980s, these hills were extensively and rampantly exploited by quarrying mafia. However, following strict Supreme Court orders, putting complete clampdown on all quarrying activities in Kumaon and Garhwal hills of erstwhile Uttar Pradesh, now part of hill state of Uttarakhand, carved out of Uttar Pradesh in 1999, all क़ुआर्रयिंग activities have come to hault.

During the British Raj, the area had a tea plantation, one of four in the Kumaon area at that time. The lakes sit at an altitude of 1370 metres below lush orchards in the Mehragaon valley. Set amongst dense forests of oak and pine trees, Sattal is one of the few unspoiled and unpolluted freshwater biomes in India.

If you want to do rafting you can visit here, it is like other lakes in nainitaal. So, view would be more or like same.
