Valli Cave

Valli kugai is divine place to visit it is nearer to tiruchendur subramanian swamy temple. Please visit this place. In the early morning sunrise view is good. No ticket is required. When I went in the morning the temple opened for visit at 06:30 AM.

A little removed from the main shrine and on the northern seashore under a cliff of over-hanging hardened sandstone there is a picturesque grotto carved out of it. Two images are installed there, one dedicated to Valli and another to Dattatreya.
The cave and the expansive sea in front of it has a special charm; and the worshipper is reminded of the immanence of god Muruga. The cave has received recent renovations with a granite flooring and a layout on the sea beach.
A counter part of this rocky cave is to be found nine miles away on the rocky edge of Manalpad Beach. Curiously enough it had been occupied as early as 1542 A.D. by the early Roman Catholic Church, and bears a tablet saying, "This cave once, the dwelling of a Saivite Sannyasi, has been sanctified by the prayers and penance of Saint Francis Xavier." This is spoken of as another of Valli's caves, and had gone into the use of the earliest followers of Jesus.
Amazing experience....

Its a lime stone cave temple. The entrance of cave is little small as we have to bend and walk. Unique temple. Godess Valli devi. Must visit for couples who dont have children. There are special pooja for couples.

One of the most secret temples of India. Here goddess Valli has hidden while Lord Murigan come to see her for asking her proposal for marrying him. The area is very small and one has to go keeping head down and need real patience for visiting her as total area is burying heat and no air flow from outside.

Different experience to enter into a small entrance cave

This was an amazing experience, it is believed to be the place where Shri Valli hid herself when lord Ganesha ( in form of elephant) chased her to help her brother murugan win her heart. The entry to the temple is just 1 rupee which is good management.. inside there is a small passage in which u have to enter and their u will find Shri Valli sannidhi such a positive vibrations and inner peace one must visit this location if u are around tiruchendur.

Cleanly maintained cave surroundings. Just on beach location adds beauty to this cave temple. Wonderful photo scenic area. Temple is small, highlight is Lordess Valli inside a small cave with a few steps. Only 5 or 6 can be accommodated inside. People need to maintain basic etiquettes to avoid stamping risk.

It’s one of the must visit spots for anyone coming to Tiruchendur. With an entry fee of one Rupees, you get a chance to visit a temple made for goddess inside a cave. From there you get an excellent view of beach too!

Main god is inside the cave, where only 8 to 10 can stand. Also only 1 person can walk in the path, such a narrow path.. Really nice place to visit which is nearer to the sea shore..

Nice temple but very suffocating atmosphere Just as any cave would have. So people with breathing issues and BP avoid going to this temple

A small cave - Tall and fat persons please stay out

A very small cave temple in sea shore. It is believed that Goddess Valli medicated here. This one is very small temple where only one can go inside at a time. This temple is situated in side of North Carolina street of main Murugan temple. One can also enjoy the sea sightseeing outside this temple.

This Cave is the place where Goddess Valli believed to have meditated for marrying Lord Muruga.

It is located very near to Main Temple near the Temple Accommodation. This is a Small Cave. We have to descend 7 or 8 Steps into the Cave. Family of 3 or 4 persons can sit here and worship the Idol of Valli. We are given Kumkum as Prasad.

A small cave temple were goddess Valli hid herself to save her from elephant.... it is a small cave which can accommodate around 7 persons at a time.... entrance ticket of 1 rupee is collected.... there is usually a small crowd here....It is a must visit place atleast once as it will give you a different experience.... a temple is in a altogether different style....

Temple for goddess valli built by carving big stone to make cave. Small in size. But, well maintained.

Very small entrance for valli dharshan. Max 10ppl can go in at a time and have to be careful as it is small entrance.
