The main attraction of Shirdi is the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir, situated in the heart of the town of Shirdi. Sai Baba's body has been laid to eternal rest here. Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir was built in 1917-1918 by a millionaire from Nagpur and an ardent devotee of Sai Baba, Shreemant Gopalrao Buti.

Shirdi Sai Baba temple is one of the most sacred and visited places in India. It is the place where the revered saint Sai Baba lived and attained samadhi, or the state of complete union with God. The temple complex consists of several buildings, such as the Samadhi Mandir, where Sai Baba’s marble statue and tomb are located, the Dwarkamai, where he used to sit and bless his devotees, the Chavadi, where he used to sleep every alternate night, and the Gurusthan, where he first appeared as a young boy under a neem tree. The temple also has a museum, a library, a prasadalaya, and other facilities for the pilgrims.

I visited the temple with my family last month and it was an unforgettable experience. The temple is very well-organized and maintained. We had to book our darshan and aarti online through the official website1 of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, which is the governing body of the temple. We reached the temple early in the morning and joined the queue for the kakad aarti, which is the first aarti of the day. The atmosphere was very serene and devotional. We could hear the chants of “Om Sai Ram” and “Sai Nath Maharaj Ki Jai” from all around. We entered the Samadhi Mandir and saw the beautiful marble statue of Sai Baba, adorned with flowers and clothes. We felt his divine presence and grace as we bowed down to him. We also offered our prayers and donations at his tomb.

After the aarti, we visited the other places in the temple complex. We saw the Dhuni, which is the sacred fire that Sai Baba used to light and feed with wood every day. We also saw his belongings, such as his robe, his shoes, his pipe, his water pot, and his grinding stone in the museum. We learned more about his life and teachings from the books and photos in the library. We had a delicious meal at the prasadalaya, which serves free food to thousands of devotees every day. We also bought some souvenirs from the shops near the temple.

The temple is not only a place of worship, but also a place of service and charity. The Sansthan Trust runs various social activities, such as medical camps, schools, colleges, hospitals, old age homes, etc., for the welfare of the people2. The temple also celebrates various festivals and events throughout the year2. The most important one is the Guru Poornima festival, which marks the day when Sai Baba accepted his disciple Mahalsapati as his guru.

I would highly recommend Shirdi Sai Baba temple to anyone who wants to experience peace, love, and bliss. It is a place where you can feel closer to God and yourself. It is a place where you can witness miracles and blessings. It is a place where you can find your true guru.❤❤❤

Shri Sachidanand Saibaba of Shirdi, also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual master who was regarded by his devotees as a saint, fakir, and satguru, according to their individual proclivities and beliefs. He was revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees, and it was uncertain if he was a Hindu or a Muslim. This, however, was of no consequence to Sai Baba. He stressed the importance of surrender to the true Satguru or Murshid, who, having trod the path to divine consciousness, will lead the disciple through the jungle of spiritual training.

Sai Baba is worshipped by people around the world. He had no love for perishable things and his sole concern was realization of the self.

It’s a nice and historical place. People are coming here from across the country. Due to covid, pass is mandatory to go inside the temple. You can collect free passes from there itself and VIP passes is also available. Om Sai Ram 🙏 whenever you are planning to visit here you should also visit at Shani Shingnapur it’s just 70km from Shirdi

Sai Baba of Shirdi (c. 1838? - died 15 October 1918), also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual master and fakir, considered to be a saint, revered by both Hindu and Muslim devotees during and after his lifetime.

Overall experience is very good 😊

The Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a profoundly spiritual place, radiating serenity. It offers solace to countless devotees. The aura of devotion and the simplicity of the temple create a unique atmosphere, making it a must-visit for seekers of inner peace and those who revere Sai Baba's teachings.

However, it's crucial to note that the temple strictly prohibits purchasing any offerings within its premises. Instead, devotees are encouraged to offer their heartfelt prayers and simple, heartfelt gestures. This policy aligns with Sai Baba's teachings of humility and simplicity.
