South High Kitchen & Bar

I had read about this place and since I love a good Sambar decided to give this a try. The food is simply amazing and the service is just awesome. Even at 12:45 AM in the night, the staff was courteous and was always looking out for what we needed. All the dishes we tried we're absolutely amazing and the portions were great too. We just tried veggie options and were totally satisfied. Definitely going to come back again. I have heard their seafood and nonveg fare is also great. Another reason to enjoy this amazing place.

Dining in South high on a banana leaf reminded me of my Chennai days. So South high is just beside Banana Leaf in Malad and the difference between Banana Leaf and South high is that South high serves non vegetarian food as well as alcohol. So even the cocktails and mocktails served there is in a South Indian version.
I ordered the Kerala pepper fry mutton, chettinad poriyal chicken and Mangalore meen fry surmai. All the cheese starters with perfectly good in very tasty South Indian masalas. I loved all three of them next in the main course I tried out the veg unlimited thali which is a must try here.
So it has some 15 types of items in the Thali and its unlimited.
The interiors and the decor of South high is very beautiful and very interesting.
The service is also very fast and the staff is very friendly.
I would highly recommend this place for a family lunch or dinner and for a person who is a South Indian food lover

Best south Indian restaurant. South high is basically specialising in south Indian food with a little bit of twist. South high is located off link road (malad).
Visited here for dinner and it was surprisingly empty. The service was on point.
You can enjoy the benefits of zomato gold over there (2+2 drinks).
We had rajni dosa, dosa's were crispy, the shape of the dosa was similar to tacos which was very fancy. The Kanakagiri dosa tasted really very good. Cheese corn medu wada was the best. I never had these kind of medu wadas I must say, they were fried properly with less oil in it with a very good propotion of cheese, which was heaven ( totally recommend it )
Best for family dine in.

Though South high is a mix of South Indian cuisines including Kerala, Andhra, chettinad and they provide a metropolitan touch to each of these, but if you are not a purist in terms of keeping the cuisines authentic , everything here tastes great. Mutton ghee roast and chicken kadipatta are my favorites. Great flavours and great taste without too much spice. The seafood dishes also taste good I highly recommend this if you love good South Indian food.

In starters we had kadipata chicken.... A typical south indian starter...a good one....

In mains.....they have a nice option of roti or dosas with it......we tried Malabar chicken... Which was awesome.....they also have a unique combination of porotas or rotis mixed with the gravy known as kuttu porota... Which had a wonderful taste and something different.....

At last the sweet dish.....Elanner gadban..... Fantastic but slight costly.....

Awesome place to try south indian food in malad. A bit expensive though as south indian food ingredients aren't that costly.

Extremely superb experience at South High !!! Finally a pure south indian restaurant which is not in Matunga :-) . I simply loved the food . Be it the ghee roast or the veg thali , served authentically over a banana leaf with basic vegetables and sambhar . Choice of rice ( white or brown) i loved it .

The thali comes with coconut burfee that was so mouth watering and the chaas ( nice , spicy and chilled ) .

The staff was friendly and courteous .

Really loved the South Indian thali, totally a must try! It was just so good! The ambience is nice too!

Nice place with a unique decor and concept. The tables and chairs are made out of metal instead of wood etc. Food, lunch, is served in a banana leaf if you will and is delicious. Had lunch there recently and all food items tasted like how South Indian food should taste like. The menu too is quite elaborate!

Walked in expecting typical South Indian food and was pleasantly surprised with the innovative food that was served.

Took the help of the captain to understand what was on offer and the food was outstanding. Every dish came with a twist.

One should try the cocktails too.

Not everyone can get the fusion food right but this place has cracked the concept beautifully, be it the ambience or the mouthwatering delicacies on menu, the thing I liked the most was that the food not only looked good but was extremely flavourful. Traditional Mallu delicacy with a modern twist just amazes me to another level. Loved it

South High is located very close to inorbit malad on link road. They brings the authentic flavors of south India right to your table and they have also infused twists to some of their dishes. On my recent visit I tried their veg unlimited thali which costed just 395 and the thali consisted of 27 dishes right from the chutneys to appetizers to desserts. Every dish was so rich with south Indian flavors. Just loved each and everything on that thali specially tha payasam, I think I had 4-5 bowls of that. Thali is must try.

My wife and I went here for some south Indian delicacies. And we were absolutely delighted by what we had. Initially, after we saw the menu we were a bit sceptical cause they have starters (veg and Non veg) and they have something called as Kambo Plet (that's how they pronounce 'Combo Plate' down south). Their menu mainly has only these two bifurcations. As we are used to ordering a sabji or a curry with appam we were thrown off a little. But the manager very politely cleared it out to us that the Kambo Plet items can be matched with each other. For ex you can have the curry from one plate and the appam/dosa etc from another item. Service was good. Ambience was really good. Didn't try the alcohol. Although since they have gone creative with it, I would urge you the try it out.

Amazing non veg South Indian food with very authentic flavours. The service is quick and the food is well priced. Look forward to my next visit there soon

I cannot thank the manager enough for the consideration during our visit a couple of weeks ago. My baby wanted to nurse and he made a room available for me to nurse her. That was very kind of you!

Light food !! Good Menu and they're always ready to customize it as per your need. If you want less oil, they will cook it in very less oil. Good place to eat.
