Starting from Quotation step Rupesh given pocket friendly quote with required Asian Paints Royal Shyne paint. Taken correct measurements and altered as per my choice of paints on ceiling as well on walls.

I have taken quotations from different painting platforms as well from local painters as well but on cost Aapka painter quote with required paint quality is cheaper.

Overall it was a great experience with Aapkapainter team and most importantly with Gaurav Baviskar (Operation Manager assigned for our repainting work).

I had taken quotations from different painting platforms as well as from local painters but on cost aspect Aapkapainter quote was on the higher end in terms of exterior/interior painting and associated waterproofing cost. I decided to go with Aapkapainter inspite of the higher quote as I believed they would be using original and branded paints/products from Asian Paints and Pidlite Industries (as per their claim on their website and from earlier Aapkapainter customer reviews).

They started work as per our convenient date and like true professionals stuck to the commited dates and schedules. Ensured full co-operation to society security, created no nuisance in the gated society and followed all previously agreed instructions regarding work timings and society rules before commencement of work at the site.

Gaurav used to provide daily updates and shared pictures of the work progress on a daily basis. He used to visit the site daily without fail (inspite of his hectic schedules and being stretched due to multiple projects being executed in parallel). He used to patiently take my feedback each day 24x7, listen to my concerns and ensured all the concerns were properly addressed at the earliest. If not for Gaurav who was dedicated, professional and highly customer focussed, I would have hesitated to give them such an overall good rating and feedback at the completion of the said work.

Last minute changes were accommodated without hassle, like I had informed them at the quotation stage to remove all the tubelights and curtain rods/accessories before starting internal painting. Due to some lack of communication, when I came to inspect the work in the final week I noticed this and got the same removed and asked them to do the required repainting/touchup and which was done very promptly. Gaurav ensured that any areas which needed touchup or rework was addressed without any delays. The cleaning of the house including bathroom and washbasins were carried out promptly. Removal of all debris due to the work at the site was properly removed before handing over the row house back to me.

If I need to rate each of the work item in my quotation, the top marks goes to the exterior painting work alongwith front and rear terrace grouting. I would have rated waterproofing work also at this rating level (but holding onto rating it now only as I would like to see it after the rainy season and using the bathrooms regularly for the next few months). The only reason interior painting is rated little lower is because of not following proper masking and doing it with more precision and accuracy.

The only negative in my entire empty row house repainting, which could have been done better was masking all the switchboards and other areas where painting was done and also areas which needed such masking in the bathroom floors before grouting work. Although these were then promptly cleaned and corrected by the team later on the instructions of Gaurav.

The one specific quality of Gaurav which I would like to highlight was whenever I had some problems to be addressed as part of the work and discussed it with Gaurav, unlike lot of other people who would try not to get involved in solving the problem and wriggle out stating it was not part of the scope of work, he would immediately tell me not to worry, come out with possible solutions (maybe with external help) and co-operate to get the problem resolved at the earliest and without impacting the overall schedule. This problem solving, customer delight and taking ownership is a rare trait which Gaurav has and hope Aapkapainter recognizes this capability of him and provides him with larger responsibilities to showcase them.
