Kuntala waterfall is located in the Adilabad district of Telangana. This is 240 Km from Hyderabad. This is one of the beautiful and wonderful waterfall located amidst dense forest. This is one of the highest waterfall in the state of Telangana with height of 147 feet and is on Kaddam river. Waterfall open at 9 am and closed by 5 pm. This is managed by Telangana forest department. To reach to the waterfall you have to climb down to nearly 400 steps. Be aware of monkeys. Don’t carry food in open. There is an entry ticket of ₹30 for an adults and parking charge ₹100. Best season to visit is between August - December. There are many food stall at the entrance of waterfall, you can order desi chicken and even Kadaknath and go to waterfall and while returning you can enjoy mouthwatering meals amidst forest. This is very good weekend gateway for people who love to spend time in nature and trekking. I reached to the waterfall and took bath in the falling water. One suggestion, keep extra pair of clothes because once you reach to the waterfall you can’t resist yourself from bathing. Some people’s were saying this is Niagara of Telangana during rainy season, so friends you can tell your view in comment section.

This is a beautiful water fall and best to visit is during rainy season. Water fall opens at 9.30am and closes by 5pm and controlled by Telangana forest department. One can bath and swim in the pools located downside of waterfall but entering pool is risky due to sudden flash floods. There is a guest house located on the top of the hill. To reach waterfall one need to step down 400steps. There are hotels located at the entrance before stepping down to waterfall where lot of chicken dishes particularly desi chicken options are available. Highly recommended to visit with family for half day picnic

This place is one of the best one of all the waterfalls I have ever visited. It is a well-known tourist place so vaapis going during holidays if you want some alone time with nature because it will be completely crowded as you can see in the video I have shared. I could not get closer to it but I could take bath in en enclosed water pool. The place is surrounded by forest. We can also get food, cold drinks & ice creams. To sum up I would say it is worth visiting.

Beautiful waterfall. Please keep in mind that there are 409 steps to climb for this waterfall. Better to visit during rainy seasons. People are not allowed to go near the water or near waterfall. There are few options to eat. Tea and coffee was too bad.

I always rate best when the nature is involved. Best time to visit is October to December time to play in waterfall. Better to Order food before starting towards waterfalls, so they can get that ready by the time you come back.

I recently visited the Kuntala Waterfalls, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! This waterfall is one of the tallest in the entire state, standing tall at 150 meters. The view from the top took my breath away!

Now, must warn you that getting to the waterfall does require a bit of effort. We had to walk up around 400 steps, which might be a challenge for older folks. However, let me assure you that every step was worth it. The journey itself was quite enjoyable, with beautiful sights along the way.

Additionally, if you're planning on driving there, car parking costs Rs 100. It's definitely a small price to pay considering the beauty that awaits you.

The moment we set eyes on the waterfall, it felt like time stood still. The sheer power and force of the water cascading down left us in awe. The sound of the roaring water was both exhilarating and calming at the same time. It truly was a mesmerizing experience.

After your return do try desi chicken rice which will be costing rs 150 only.

The Kuntala Waterfalls is located 12 kms from the Neredikonda villege, about 64 km from Adilabad. At Kuntala, the Kadem river cascades 45 meters down and rushes deep into the Jungles. Kuntala, the highest waterfalls in the State, offers a spectacular sight particularly when the river is flush with copious inflows. The winter months are ideal for witnessing the waterfalls, as one can also see the river in all its glory. There is an image of Lord Shiva near the water falls known as Someshwara Swami. Many devotees congregate here for Maha Shiva Ratri festivities.

Just wow! Amazing experience. You can go near the fall but no swimming or getting into water is allowed. Around 200 steps to get down to the fall. You can sit on the rocks and enjoy the nature. Ample parking is there near the entrance. They have pay and use toilets. And 4-5 eateries (dhaba) as well, near the entrance. Forest department is guarding the place and there is an entry fee of 30 rupees per adult and 50 rupees car parking charges, kids go free. It's around 4.5 - 5 hours drive from city. The road condition throughout is excellent. Lot of tolls, almost 5-6 toll gates, all fasttag enabled. Toll roads are the fastest as well as you can maintain speed of 80 kmh. If you start at 9-10 AM you will face lot of Truck traffic till 50-60 km. The drive and the location is worth every penny you spent to go there. Must see place after monsoons.

Spectacular place to spend a weekend. Kuntala waterfall is approximately 270 kms from Hyderabad city and it takes approximately 5 and half hours to reach this place via NH 44. The road condition is very good through out the journey. You may find 5-6 toll gates in the road. Forest department is guarding this place. The entry fee is 30 rupees per person. For kids there is no entry fee. There is ample car parking space near the entrance and they charge 50 rupees per car. There are small eateries which sell different snacks, cold drinks, water bottles etc at the entrance. Pay and use toilet facility is also available at entrance. There are approximately 400 steps to go down and see the waterfall. The steps are steep and climbing back can be very exhausting. Going near the water fall is permitted. However, getting into the water or swimming is prohibited. The view of the water fall is simply breathtaking. You can sit on the rocks and admire the beauty of the place for hours. Best season to visit this place is to during the monsoon or just after that. Avoid going to this place on long weekends as this place gets extremely crowded. Over all an amazing place to visit with family and friends.

A peaceful place to visit. The waterfall is not that high but the peacefulness hear is unmatchable.

You can go near the waters but be safe while going near water. The best time is in just after the rainy season and in early morning, in early morning you can be alone in the place and enjoy the beauty.

The handling organization has built around 900 steps to go down and see the waterfall. The climbing of the steps makes it an exhausting treak for some people. The maintainance is quite good and the forest around it is also great in the morning. Please do not Litter 🚮

overall a great place but you can spend around one hour here and move to your next stop. short trip here will be great.

Another waterfall nearby is Sahastrakunda around 70kms from this waterfall worth cheking out.

Visiting Kuntala with friends was a great experience. 5 friends together went on for a long trip from Hyderabad to Kuntala on a weekend to refresh from the work mode. We visited at the end of December, thought it was not the best time to visit, but we had some good amount of water and the flow was decently good which didn't disappointed us from enjoying the feel of the waterfall. Just after the rains, this place will be awesome with lot of greenary around and completely filled with water. It's a great landscape to witness and a photographer like me will always be ready to capture the nature's beauty.
