Ananthagiri Hills Viewpoint

If you are truly nature lover then only this place is for you. If you love to enjoy sunrise, sunset, lush greenery, bird chirping, silence then you should definitely go. There is no extra activities apart from nature and if you want to do outdoor activities then don't go this place is not for you.

Good place to visit not much crowded since it's located at outskirts of Hyderabad, best visited sunrise or sunset. Buy some snacks on the way you don't get anything on top of the hill.

Must say it’s a perfect and peaceful getaway! If you like walking/ trekking then you will enjoy this place.

I also enjoyed my road trip in bike to Anantagiri Hills from Hyderabad as it’s mostly a single lane road.

Come down from the viewpoint, through a narrow jungle road to a grass land. After grass land ther is nice place, you can see the romantic view of valley and a big lake.

As compare to northern hills station this place is nothing, but you can consider it for one day trip . One one day trip is fine.
Recommend you to eat fist, there is no restaurant near by or on the way

Note:make sure you carry your own food and water, while leaving the police man there will charge entrance and parking ticket

Beautiful view point. Short trip for Hyderabad. Loved the weather and air quality.

Good watch tower
Don't expect too much it's just normal iron watch tower but yeah view is good

Only thing is if you go by expectations you will get disappointed otherwise good views and natural forest air.

That's a very great viewpoint with great nature
But try to visit after 5-6am cause it's highly forest area.

The best viewpoint we get near by hyderabad special I suggest to visit morning r evening time so that u can enjoy sunrise r sunset view..

Visit in monsoons nd good fir nature lovers

A hangout spot very near Hyderabad city (a day visit place), with a beautiful scenic ridge and valley. Small hiking place that everyone could easily access and enjoy, when we were there we saw a deer next to us running from one side to another. However, it's under the forest department- a lot of amenities to be provided. (no basic infra facilities near the viewpoints). In some distances, we also have TSTDC - Hotel for a night stay if interested, as the beauty of the viewpoint is Sunrise.

Good place, but please go before 12 pm.

If you are going after 12pm, then you can't enjoy.

Also the way from Hyderabad to vikarabad, is so not developed..

Please drive carefully, so many villagers will come in front of you casually..

The best time to visit this place is winter season and particularly to see the sunrise,better to reach the location at 5am in the morning have a campfire then go to the view point by 6am have a sight at beautiful sunrise,then go to kotepalli reservoir which is around 15 km from the ananthagiri hills.

Totally a worth it experience I would say driving here all the way from hyderabad was literally fun and a blissful moment to see the sunrise!

Spectacular place to visit, Ideal with family and friends for a short picnic, serene and calm with lots of greenery, if you love photography then you will get a lot of options to get fine shots.

Roads are quite bumpy en route, may become bit risky, I suggest you start early in the morning and evening... Overall nice experience.

I am from bihar to Hyderabad to lingam pally to Vikarabad to ananthagiri hills

Visited on Sunday morning for sunrise. Good view of the surroundings. Weather was good as it had just rained. Good road from hyderabad (from ORR) till the view point. DO visit the lake also nearby. Must be even greener and better after the rainy season.

This was the best place from Hyderabad for trecking and nice place to visit for Sunrise.

The view of rise was memorable and was good.Try to be before 6 A.M to have the good feel of sunrise and trecking was also good.

Mostly try to come by bikes rather than cars so that it will be somewhat useful to go for nearby trecking areas for trecking.

The view point was good and most people who are reliable to relax in the weekend with nature is the perfect place for going to this Ananthagiri hills.

Mostly prefer by shoes for trecking so that you may avoid injury while trecking

Mostly coming with the friends (or) by family might suit this place.

Finally the place was enjoyable and relaxable.
