Shree Mahamaya Devi Temple Ratanpur

Good place to worship goddess Mahamaya devi. 🙏 You get positive vibes as you enter the temple. Long queue for darshan. Direct entry is available but you need to confirm. There is no ticket for the same. Mela kind os thing is always there which attracts people for shopping.

One of the most auspicious and religious place in Chhattisgarh State. Its place of Hindu worship and have religious importance. Its siddhapeetha and it is believed that all reasonable desire and wishes gets fulfilled here.

I consider myself fortunate to have visited Mata's Mandir. The pure and enchanting atmosphere filled with "Jai Mata Di" resonated all around, creating a sense of deep spirituality. 🔱

This sacred site is renowned as one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, and its divinity is unmatchable, exuding a multitude of positive energies. My life took a turning point after visiting and I am truly thankful for that. Jai Mata Di 🙏🏻

It's one of the Shakti peeth of India. The Deity has an aura that made me feel happy to visit the temple. The temple surroundings are reasonably clean, but the water bodies are highly polluted. Must visit place if visiting Bilaspur.

Beautiful ancient temple surrounded by parks and ponds. Would suggest to go early in the morning around 9am to avoid the rush. You can have a nice picnic in the park. Don't Miss the Shani mandir.

Mahamaya Devi Temple is situated at 25 km away from the city of Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) on the Bilaspur-Ambikapur state highway, the Mandir and the relics of scores of ancillary temples, domes, palaces and forts – now rundown by the time and natural forces – seem to tell a story. Once the capital of the Kalchuri kings, Ratanpur – then, Ratnapur – has almost a millenium of history. The main campus of temple has the smaller statues of Mahakali, Bhadrakali, Surya Dev, Lord Vishnu, Lord Hanuman, Bhairav and Lord Shiva.

Mahamaya Devi is an ancient temple in Chhattisgarh, a peaceful place. There are many pounds near the temple.

Overall I have been here may be more than 20 times, and I have seen this place adapt to the more modern needs. It has only gotten better with crowd management and cleanliness.
Over time the way the street hawkers used to overpower you into buying something and many such other things have changed.
Few plus
Free shoe stand just in front of the main temple is provided free, so don’t get talked into any scam. 👍
Car parking is free, no need to lay there either.👍
Photography is not allowed inside the main temple but it is better if you don’t carry your camera 🎥 there. It becomes a liability.
There are two lakes beside the temple. One where you have lots and lots of fishes. Feeding is allowed.
Another bigger one where you can enjoy boating 🛶. Price not sure 🤔.

Mandir bhog is available for rs 20/- between 12:00pm to 2:30 pm as of 2019 March.

The quality of street food is strictly average or below. Not recommended. 👎

Too many beggars on the street and the condition must improve.👎

Only one more suggestion ✍ would be declare this site a plastic free zone to maintain its decorum.

Devine temple of Shree Maa Mahamaya Devi. A religious place with a lot of belief. Statue of Devi is covered with another statue as there is a belief that charm of goddess cannot be seen directly. Its a very ancient temple and one of the shaktipith. Campus comprises of many temple, kund and garden. Lot of space for parking in front of the campus. During Navratri there is long queue, you have to wait 2 hrs in the line.

Mahamaya Temple is a temple dedicated to dual Goddess Lakshmi & Saraswati, located in Ratanpur and is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas spread across India. Ratanpur is a small city, full of temples and ponds, situated around 25 km from district Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh.Goddess Mahamaya is also known as Kosaleswari. It was built during the reign of Kalachuris of Ratnapura. It is said to be located at the spot where king Ratnadeva had darshan of goddess Kali. This temple is built in Nagara style of architecture.

One of the best organised temple in Chhattisgarh state. One should definitely visit here.
Plenty of free parking space and organised queue system for pilgrims.

A must visit historical temple dedicated to Goddess Mahamaya (Durga). Situated 30 kms. away from Bilaspur (CG) and can be reached easily with a drive of around 48 mins via NH-130.
