Work is in progress.. campus is good some of the teacher is good.but some of them are corrupted.who can't understand the students emotion and feeling and behaved rudely. In exam they compromise for cheating but few of them is good.

P.k.Roy is one of the best colleges in Dhanbad jharkhand.This is ragging free college and here,all professors are highly qualified and his teaching style is excellent 👌.(I am one of the students in P.K Roy college)

This college was founded by Shri B.N. Roy of The Roy Villa together with his brothers in memory of their father, Late Shri Prasanna Kumar Roy, popularly known by the name, P.K. Roy. It was founded to realise P.K. Roy's philanthropic som of building a modern India through higher education and entrepreneurship.

The Roy family donated vast areas of their personal land and spent huge sums of money in design and construction of the state of the art college of that time which welcomed it's very first batch of students in 1960.

The subsequent generation took the onus of further developing the college with all sincerity and dedication to propel the institution to the dizzy heights of glory. The Roy family and it's following generation played an important role in shaping the future of Jharkhand's youth and the City of Dhanbad by establishing this abode of learning.

Hundreds of thousands of Dhanbad's youth and their lives have some sort of a connection, professional or personal, with this place. It has shaped their careers.

P K Roy Memorial College is the most desired and favoured destination for higher education in this part of Jharkhand. The students of adjoining districts of West Bengal also come to P K Roy for their higher education. Established in 1960, the college is imparting education right from Intermediate to postgraduation degree. Even many of the students are pursuing their research under the aegis of able and competent teachers of this college. In view of its popularity and quality education being imparted the Government of Jharkhand in the year 2017 declared the college as one of the Premier College of Jharkhand and gave substantial financial support to the college to improve its NAAC grade from B to A and achieve better ranking in the country.
In the pursuit of excellence college has activated its IQAC. All planning for academic improvement and excellence are being designed and developed by the IQAC. The decisions taken by the IQAC during last academic session the college has moved towards digitalization and computerization of its academics and administration. We have introduced Syayamprabha in the classroom LT-03 – a classroom has been converted for the purpose
