I recently visited Kanak Bhawan in Ayodhya, and the divine aura of this sacred place is truly incredible. The continuous chants and hymns create a profoundly devotional environment, providing a sense of peace of mind. It's a place where spirituality transcends, and the ambiance is serene. However, it's important to note that the Bhavan is closed from 12 to 1:00 pm. A visit during other times ensures an uninterrupted and spiritually enriching experience. Highly recommend for those seeking a tranquil and devotional retreat. 🙏

There is such a belief of the devotees that the sight of the Deity of Ram and Sita is here..
Kanak Bhawan, also meaning Golden Palace, cites three golden-crowned idols of the two gods under a silver roof in the sanctum santorum (Garbagriha). It is believed that this shrine was gifted to Rama and Sita by the former's stepmother, Kaikeyi.

Upon designed renovation during Vikramaditya's reign, the present site was further entirely revamped by Vrish Bhanu Kunwari. This Bundela-styled temple is currently managed by the Sri Vrishbhan Dharma Setu Trust Private

One of the oldest, prestigious temples of Ayodhya having great architecture. It is said that, this KANAK BHAWAN was gifted to Mata Sita by Mataa Kaikeyi, in her "Muh Dikhayi".
At present time, there are three vigraha(विग्रह) of Mata Sita and Prabhu Sri Rama in the garbhagriha( गर्भगृह).
There is a huge angan for sitting and Praying. There is a small temple of Hanumaan Ji, at the periphery of the angan. Outside the temple, there is an Idol of Shabri, having a basket on her head standing at the mid of a decorative fountain. Its "Phool bangle ki jhanki" is a very famous. I think someone visiting Ayodhya should definitely visit Kanak Bihari Sarkar.

Kanak Bhawan Temple, is considered to be a gift given to Ram and Sita by Ram’s step mother Kaikeyi. It has three pairs of idols of Shri Ram and Goddess Sita wearing gold crowns. It is one of the most revered temples in Ayodhya. No male except Lord Ram was allowed to enter into the palace. The rule was so strictly followed that even Hanuman was able to reach till corridor only. Kanak Bhawan derives its name from the Sanskrit words "Kanak," meaning gold, and "Bhawan," meaning abode. That’s why, it is also known as ‘Sone-ka-Ghar’. Kanak Bhawan gains further eminence as the site where Lord Ram and Sita are believed to have spent their leisure moments. The walls of the temple echo with the divine love and companionship shared by the divine couple. Pilgrims visiting it often immerse themselves in the profound spirituality that envelops the atmosphere, feeling a deep connection to the eternal love story of Rama and Sita. As you walk past the Dashrath mahal , there’s a right cut with a large board guiding towards the Kanak mahal . You have to walk through the RJB zone to visit all these places as the vehicles are not allowed there. As I was told by the locals Kanak mahal runs a kitchen with minimal prices for the poor and one can get the parshad by paying up the price . The architecture was good and one thing which was common in most of the places I visited in Ayodhya was the grand entrances to the temples .
