I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Shri Chandi Mata Mandir in Bagbahara, Chhattisgarh and I must say it was an amazing experience. This Hindu temple truly captures the essence of spirituality and devotion.

From the moment I stepped inside the temple premises, I was greeted with a sense of peace and tranquility. The architecture of the temple is stunning, with intricate carvings and beautiful sculptures that pay homage to the goddess Chandi Mata. The temple is well-maintained and offers a serene atmosphere for prayer and meditation.

The temple is nestled in a picturesque location, surrounded by natural beauty. The lush green surroundings add to the overall charm of the place and make it an ideal spot for nature lovers. I enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll around the temple premises, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and admiring the scenic views.

The local villagers shared an interesting piece of information during my visit - they mentioned that a bear visits the temple premises between 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm every day. This added an element of excitement and uniqueness to my experience.

Another aspect that impressed me was the warm hospitality of the temple staff and the local community. They were friendly, welcoming, and eager to share the history and significance of the temple. Their passion and devotion were evident, making my visit even more memorable.

In terms of accessibility, the temple is conveniently located with good road connectivity through NH-6. It is approximately 86 km away from Raipur city, making it easily accessible for visitors.

Chandi Mata Temple is situated in village – Ghunchapali of district Mahasamund, development block Bagbahra. Which is at a distance of 40 km from the district headquarters. This Chandi Mata Temple of Mother Adishakti was known for Tantrokta Siddhi. Where only Tantrik and Aghoris used to come and go. Chandi Mata Temple was opened to the public around 1950-51.

Surrounded by many small hills, this temple of Chandi Mata has a very picturesque view. Passing between two hills before reaching Chandi Mata Temple provides an unforgettable experience.

Bears along with their families come to Maa Adishakti Chandi Mata Temple every day between noon and evening to have darshan of Mata Ji. To see this, the number of devotees increases significantly in the evening.

I visited here at first time..but I want to visit again in my next trip... This place is so peaceful 🫶🫶

Best place to visit if you want to have divine and natural places. If u got to see a bear live that would be a plus point. You need to climb the temple, to visit the temple. Scene along side road reaching the temple is superb. Adventure lovers ride bikes and cars on the roads

There is a belief that bears also come here at the time of worship and it is true that we have also seen bears.

Amazing place with Very Spiritual Vibe. The Temple is situated over a small mountain which you can reach directly via road or From the Backside of the temple. While going from the backside there is a little struggle in walking uphill and steep slope. We went from the backside and it was quite adventurous for us. Once you get to a little height you see a beautiful panoramic view of the Mountains around you. We missed the main attraction of this place which is "Bears" Yes this is the place where bears come to the temple Every evening for little snacks. Thrilling yeah!
The best advice is to come here at Sunset Timing where you can enjoy both sunset and Bear Feeding activity.

Very nice, clean temple, with a historic past of Mahabharata times, in a small town. Not crowded, at least not if no festival around and frequently visited by wild bears. Though we couldn't see them, as during rice harvest they feed at the fields and don't visit the temple for feeding.

The chandi Mata temple is situated in village ghunchapali just 6-7km. From bagbahara a tahsil place of mahasamund district in chhattisgarh .the temple is located on a Small hill sarraunded by beautiful forest and rocky knobs. The very surprising thing about the temple is many bear's are coming regularly in temple premises from sarraunding forest in evening and they take eatable offering given by pilgrim without causing any harm and hesitation. They roam freely in the premises and after eating the prasad they return in jungle. The temple premises is big and beautiful. Having main temple of chandi Mata and temple's of hanuman and bhairavnaath .an other small and beautiful cave Temple of Mata Kali is also a big attraction for devotees. There is a big hall and dharam shala is also available for rest and hault purpose of pilgrim. Must watch place.

Temple is so beautiful and best time to visit is evening aarti at 7 pm.. the sound of bells and beats gives you a positive vibes.. also the place is famous for beers.... If you are lucky you can witness the beers in the temple.. I was lucky enough to witness that...

It is a very beautiful place, there is a wonderful temple of Chandi Mata. Bears also come here during Aarti to get Prasad.

It is believed that the devi statue is rotating anticlock wise gradually.

Very good place for an outing as it has both devotional as well as entertaining with good scenery as the Mandir is situated at hill top . One can see beautiful surrounding view from hill top all around .
After worshipping to Devi maa in hill top , visit the Maa Kali gufa , and after that enjoy the scenery all around the Mandir .
Have your garma garam bhujia or packed snacks . Wait in view point or in any other place for the Bhalu ( bear ) to come around 6 pm almost daily evening . Bhalu stays for about 2 hrs till Aarti . Very rarely it doesn't come . The evening Aarti is performed at 7.30pm .
This Mandir is situated at about 90 km from Raipur ( Chhattisgarh ) and about 40 km from Mumbai Kolkata highway .
Everyone starting from Kid to Elderly person will definitely enjoy .
Today i.e. on 23rd February 21 , visited Chandi Mata Mandir . Saw two bib Bhallu during Aarti tme and came to know that One big Bhallu with two kids came in day time .

Very beautiful place, there is a small hill where the temple is situated, beautiful seenery, hills, farms and forest looks very awesome. There is also temples of Kali mata, bhairav baba and Hanuman Ji near main temple on the hill.
But really the major attraction of this temple is presence of bears every evening. Yes I have also seen the bears in the temple.
The bear comes daily in the temple in evening. There are 6 🐻 bears. It is very great to see them in between the people who comes to visit this temple...

Every evening Bear🐻 visit on Chandi Mata 🙏 Mandir during aarati. You can feed the Bear 🐻 easily like pet.
