Ashapuri Local Museum, Ashapuri

This museum contain a treasure of history of 9th & 10th centuries, but it is poorly managed.
While visiting you can see the statues & sculptures of olden age, but you cannot make out the hidden history behind each sculpture. No back ground history of Ashapuri Tempkes has been displayed anywhere. Neither at the temple site nor at the museum. One board is installed at temple site, which I'd just descriptive, without any narration of historical background of these sculpture.
You are left to guess & understand the history yourself.
I will definitely suggest to visit this place, appeal government to provide more detail of history of these temples at site as well as in museum too.

Well maintained site by ASI and many historical statues are here of 10th century and many ruined temple also situated here

Recently excavated group of 26 closely situated temples at a beautiful location. Most of the place is in ruins with beautiful sculptures scattered everywhere. Some of the idols have been taken to nearby village in an open air museum.

It is a museum of lost deities of demi gods. They belong to King Bhoj era.

Perfect to visit this monument which is a laboratory of temples for kings between 9th to 11th centuries.
The place is having strong 26 temples in ruins. A local museum is also there with exhibits of the ruins.

A Bhootnath temple, cluster of 24 temples, now in ruins was erected in splendid form in 10th-11th century near Ashapuri village. Now without maintenance and ignored statues were lying unattended and were being taken away by unauthorised I'll doers, therefore most of the statues and carved stones were kept in a house in Ashapuri village in a museum form. Visit to see rich culture and stone carvings of ancient India.

Ashapuri is close to Bhojpur. The ruins of the temples and a site museum exists in Ashapuri. Excellent Sculptures, even though they have been mutilated. A real treasure house of Parmara art.
