My visit to Bhojpur Temple was a serene journey into ancient spirituality. The towering lingam, intricate carvings, and unfinished structure added to its mystique. Surrounded by nature and history, it left me with a profound sense of peace and wonder.

This is an unfinished but impressive Shiva temple which is about 1000 years old. Of course , some restoration work has been done in recent decades. It has a huge Shiva linga , about 7.5 feet high , which is installed on a 14 feet high pedestal. It is definitely worth a visit while one is in Bhopal. It is about 45 minutes drive from the city centre.

Beautifully built temple, the Shiv Linga is too large as I have never seen. It looks too huge, It is our duty to keep the temple and places clean.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful place. The biggest ever shivling I have seen in my entire life. The Location of the temple makes it even more aesthetic. Went there on a weekday therefore it was not crowded. There is No entry fees. If you wish you can take the Prasad from the shops outside the premises. Otherwise it’s not mandatory. Har Har Mahadev. Om Namah Shivaay.
